I just want to confirm that there is a hot tub at POFQ? My husband really enjoys relaxing in one after a day in the parks.
The hot tub here is fairly secluded. It has hedges all around it. Here's a pic of it:

We were just there the first week of January and the hot tub is no longer seculuded like it once was - as a matter of fact I'd refer to it as very open. You can clearly see the hot tub area from the paths and walkways around it and the playground just across the way. I'm not sure why they did this because I liked it much better the way it was before - it was like being in your own little world. When I was in there after the marathon I felt like everyone could see me and it was less relaxing.
I remember the hot tub being close to the walk way, but the shrubs made a short curtian of sorts.Do they carry quart sized containers of orange juice in the gift shop? Just trying to figure out whether to bring some juice boxes along with us or not.
The only juice I remember seeing were juice boxes (sold individually) and the little like 20 ounce bottles. I don't recall seeing any quart or half gallon containers.
Thanks. I had a feeling that was what would be available. Although we're doing the DDP, we want to eat breakfast in the room. We can always get the 20 oz bottles with our snack credits.
I have just been told by a Disney Reservationist that I cannot request a specific building. (I tried to request #5)
Never heard of this before. Is this something new?

I was prepared to recieve none of it as i know it's all only 'on request'. Happily we recieved a nonsmoking, building 6 ground level with a courtyard view (facing buliding 5 actually). It was the perfect location for us
You should be able to request a specific building, I'd bet you had a CM that, for whatever reason, didn't want to take a minute to type in your request. Try again tomorrow with another one![]()

This is kind of the same feeling I had. I will try again tomorrow.
The good news is, POFQ is so pleasantly compact that your exact building location doesn't really matter. Your room in Building 5 may be a 1 minute walk to the food court, and your room in Building 6 might be a 2 minute walk to the food court.
One could look at that as "twice as far," but someone else could look at that as "pretty darn close!"

I also liked the Caesar salad, with or without chicken -- good and fresh. Actually, I loved it. I really looked forward to it.
I found the jambalaya to be decent enough -- it was well-made, but it wasn't spicy like I prefer it, and I understand that because they have to make it palatable for a wide range of people. I didn't think the seafood and chicken creole was anything special, especially because it had almost no seafood in it -- I think I found a little lost shrimp in there.
The cheesesteak sandwich was prety good, which is INCREDIBLY high praise from a Philadelphia native like myself.
Gotta try the beignets (pronounced ben-YAYS) at the bakery. They are little rectangles of dough that get deep fried for a coupla minutes. Each one puffs up with a huge air pocket (looks like an overstuffed ravioli or pierogi), and then they get smothered with powdered sugar. They come in orders of 3 or 6. They are good for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and any time in-between.![]()

since they knew you couldn't see it from the 3rd floor.
