I ws really excited to see that the mousekeepers left me a towel slug and then I realized that it was just the towel I left on the floor after the shower
I'm ashamed to admit it, but I welcome this support group as well... I thought it was just me! I clean up after myself so they'll have plenty of extra time, I even make the bed and put all trash in the trash cans. I place my used towels neatly in one place on the bathroom floor and leave a good tip. I just figured they had my name on the "No Towel Animals" list. As you can see by my signature, we've spent MANY nights in WDW resorts and we are loyal guests... is it too much to ask?????? But still, every time I return to my room after Mousekeeping the first thing I do is a quick search for the elusive towel animal.....
My condolences to all of the members of this group. I'm sure you are all good and worthy people who have been victims of lazy and unimaginative mousekeepers. Perhaps you got the new mousekeepers, you know, the ones who haven't been to TAU (towel animal university).
Chin up, I see many many towel animals in your futures.
Well, even though I have gotten just one 'TA' it was about 2 yrs ago. I just got back from my 8th trip. Stayed in Pop. Got very excited when I saw the multitude of people that were displaying their towel animals in their windows..and in my building to boot. But, alas and alack...nothing for me. Evidently the housekeeper that we had hadn't been to the university yet either. She did arrange my dd's stuffed animals and put the remote control in Corduroy's paw and then turned the TV on. Nearly gave me a heart attack when we got back to our room late that night to find the TV on!!!
But the TA's that we saw displayed were truly wonderful...right down to the stickers that gave the little fellows eyes and spots. Ah well, maybe next time.
No towel animal for me either. I think there must be a sign taped to me back that says Please, no towel animals! I've been to WDW 7 times and never saw even one. Hopeully next time....
Hey, maybe that's it. Jealous guests run around after dark putting up "DO NOT LEAVE TOWEL ANIMALS" signs on the doors. That way they figure only they will get them and they will feel very special.
I just think we don't get it. Towel animals are mostly left by room attendants on cruises. These people are HORRIBLY underpaid and depend on your tips for their income. I don't know why this phenomenom is spreading at WDW unless Disney is finding that it leads to better tips and can keep salaries low. Unless you are Michael Ovitz.
I must admit that I too have never received a towel animal. I always hope that I will get one but no. I did get a disney balloon once for my 2 year old but no towel animal. This trip big tips and lots of thank you cards.
This is my first trip with a child so hopefully we'll get some. I never got any towel animals on previous trips- but they did leave us champagne and key lime cookies on our honeymoon at the GF (I'll take that any day over a stupid bath towel!)
None for me either, but maybe someday I will not give up hope on getting one. Someday my towel animal will come. My prince married me last visit so next visit will be towel animal time, I mean only one truly AWESOME thing per trip right?
Oh wait my entire wedding/honeymmoon trip was awesome so let me change that to only one AWESOME trip at a time.
none for us either. they never arrange our kids micky stuffed animals in the windows either. i always though the parents did it unitl i joined this web forum
I'm embarrassed to admit that I have gotten towel animals many times.
but the absolute best was when we were at WL and the mousekeeper put our DD huge minnie mouse stuffed animal in a chair, put a bib around her neck and left a half eaten chocolate chip cookie on a plate in front of minnie.
with a huge note saying that she was sorry she ate without us, but she was just too....hungry
how great was that
beat any towel animal I ever got
I'm hearin yah...............I even bought disney stuff mickeys, hopefully to suggest that there was a small child in our room, even though it was only
my DH and DS (13). I thought that one time they left me a towel pet rock.
But it was only a bar of soap left in the wash cloth. Whoa is me.........
I was going to rebel, but my DH was there for good support.........maybe next time he says. I survived.......
