The “I never received towel animals” support group thread…

Just think...since you haven't received a towel animal, that gives you another excuse to go back to WDW in hopes that you do on the next trip! ;) (Like most people on this board need another reason, right?) :sunny:

We've stayed onsite once...at POR last December...I left my tip every day and we came home to wonderful towel animals every night. I actually left some towel "designs" each morning for our mousekeeper to find....Sorry I can't join your group, but maybe if we don't get towel animals in October then I'll be depressed enough to seek therapy which will turn my anger into something positive and I'll vow to spend my life demonstrating(in a non-violent way of course) that a trip to WDW means nothing without towel animals.

I have never received a towel animal either, but I thought it was because we did not have children in the room. Now I see even the ploys of making it look like you have little ones does not necessarily work.

I have decided that on my Oct trip I'm am going to leave mousekeeping towel animals. :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: If I can figure out how to make them.

Help is on the way for all you non-towel animal receivers (NTAR's). We recieved towel animals on our last trip and I have decided to put a couple of them up for bid on ebay.

Just think, using the buy-it-now option, you can have a genuine WDW towel animal shipped to your house in just a few short days. Why waste all that time and money on a WDW vacation only to have a chance at getting a towel animal? The winning bidder on my auction is guaranteed an authentic towel animal.

I'm thinking I'll start the bidding at $100, a small price to pay for a piece of WDW magic...

not even on DD's birthday :( not even traveling with two little kids (3 and not even 1) we've stayed at POR, Poly, CBR, OKW, BWV, VWL. Nothing. If only I could do it myself.

Can someone write a book on how to do it so we can give it to our kids?

I think everyone who has not received their fair share of TAs should file a class action lawsuit demanding a 30 day complimentary premium package at the resort of their choice to compensate them for the emotional damage they have suffered by not receiving said TAs (to which they were rightfully entitled). A separate lawsuit could also be filed for all the people that did not receive their fair share of upgraded accommodations. ;)

I ws really excited to see that the mousekeepers left me a towel slug and then I realized that it was just the towel I left on the floor after the shower :(

:rotfl: Oh my GOD!!! That was soooooofunny!!!! :rotfl2:

US EITHER!!!!
We've been to Disney twice a year for 5 years, stay deluxe, deluxe concierge, and moderate. Left tips, notes of thanks. We've had our disabled daughter's birthday at poly concierge where we got baloons, and they were lovely, but NO TOWEL ANIMALS!!!
We believe that towel animals are a myth! They only exist on the disboards.
Maybe in October.
:earsgirl:

In the 15+ trips, we have been visited by the towel animals just once. The arrived the day after we expressed concerns with mousekeeping about the condition of our room at CBR (dirty stained carpeting, black goo on the bed....the was pre-rehab; we have stayed there may times with no problems and love the resort). They sent someone to shampoo the carpets and re-clean the room. The following day we were greeted by two animal friends. Very cute......though given the choice I will take a clean room over pet towels every time!!!

This thread is hysterical! In fact, the Disboards are terrific. We're going tomorrow and the boards have helped me make the waiting time go faster. It's so great to know that there are people out there just like me and my family. It's great to come to a place where no none would dare to say, "What? You're going again?!"

I'll let you know when we get back if we got towel animals. We used to get them at the WL and they also positioned our Aladdin's genie in different ways for us to find. For example, one day we couldn't find the genie and discovered he was sitting on the toilet bowl reading a copy of Disney Adventures. Another time, he was swinging in a hammock fashioned out of a towel, wearing sunglasses. We'll see if they do anything this time around.

20 more hours!!!!!

OMG!! First off, this is such a great thread!!! Definatley made my morning reading this. Here I am thinking, what will happen on our trip in Jan? Then sadly, I realized...... wait a minute, I have been to Disney twice before and never received them either!!!!

A BIG :grouphug: to all the members!

I too shall join this sad group! We went last October, stayed in a room at POP that VERY clearly had children...My sister stayed in an adjoining room that Obviously had none. She got the towel animal! We swore Mousekeeping "meant" it for our room & took the towel bunny to his rightful home next door. :rolleyes1 :p
We'll be back in October & are hoping a towel animal finds US this time :goodvibes

So long ago, I didn't even know it was special! We stayed at POR (Dixie Landings then) and had a corner room (also didn't know that was good) and our mousekeeper was fantastic. We didn't really get towel animals, but the stuffed animals were displayed differently each day. Best was the creation of a water slide (with trash bag), animal sliding wearing sunglasses, and all the others cheering!

Then towel animal draught. We did receive a few toothbrush holders of washclothes though. Finally at WL on DH's birthday trip we got a mouse! Went on the Eastern Magic and were wowed with all the towel creations. Then at BWV of all places we got a towel bunny I think (hard to say what it is).

So keep up the faith. Maybe there is a towel animal fairy too, and it's time to mention you believe and start clapping.

 i'm sorry i have to post....having been the proud recepient of a towel elephant at Vero Beach followed by two heavenly days of "shell" soap holders, fans, elegant beautiful towel art..

Ahh, Jann -- tis better to have  (a towel animal) and lost than never to have  at all

I must admit we've gotten the TA's everytime we've stayed (All at Allstar's). The kids couldn't wait to see what was left for them. HOWEVER, the down fall to that is this, we recently went to Cedar Point and stayed in a hotel for two nights and my kids where VERY bummed when we got back to our room and there were no TA's waiting for them. Kids....there great aren't they?

This thread is hilarious! Thanks for making my day everyone.
When did they start making towel animals anyway?
When we were there in October of 1998, we had our girls little souvie animals in the window to greet us, but no animals.
