Hey, no worries mate! It wasn't just your post...I came across a few that were against the pet idea...but hey, it's ok! No offense taken, really.

Hey. I like the idea of pet/animals for the rooms only. I just don't care to be seeing them around in the public rooms.
I can already see some rather inappropriate behavior as a result of pets in the park.

Perhaps the pet can be part of the guest room? As in, you buy a Dog Room or a Cat Room, etc?

I love the idea of the icon above your head when you are in a trade. Now we need an icon above our heads when we are afk, and also when we type too fast! I am currently using the pirate symbol when I type too fast, but an icon to show others my speed would be awesome.

I asked the Turn the furniture 1/8 turn question... and I am going to run with .... Currently the engines dont support it to me that maybe SOMEDAY they will....

AND I could see pets working, BUT I would also like to see them cost weekly credits... say 100 a week for food and such.... (ducking)

Yeah, I know that 1/8 turn was your question. Bummer.

As for the pet comments, I can see that the credits for food and such would
teach responsibility, but also I shudder to think of the neglected pets.

And of course, the song, "Dead...puppies aren't much fun..." popped into
my head. Yes, I'm pretty sick.

Just a couple of quick comments about pets, VMK and Disney theme parks. I believe there was a "bring your pet" type of event held at Downtown Disney at WDW. Given that VMK is an amalgamation of the various Disney theme parks, I think pets in VMK wouldn't be that different from reality. Remember, Walt was an animal lover! Personally, I like the idea of having pets in rooms, probably with a limit to how many pets you can have in a room. I'm not sure how I feel about having pets in the rest of VMK. There would be good possibilities like having a dog walking service and bad possibilities like people wandering around the game with a pack of dogs. I'd like to see more discussion about this.

How neat is it to see your question answered!? I am glad to see they have Pooh sketches in the works! I'd love to see some Pooh things around vmk...perhaps a room? Here's to wishful thinking! lol.

About the pet issue...it's better than seeing people walking around meowing...

I'm not sure what I think regarding the animal situation yet, heh.

I'm glad this was brought back to the top again, because it reminded me that I had an idea about this the other day.

If the pets are limited to the rooms, here's an idea: how great would it be to actually use Disney characters for this? If you wanted a fish you could "adopt" Flounder. A dog? You could choose from Lady, the Tramp, Pongy & Perdy (101 Dalmations), or even Percy from Pocahontas. Cats? Aristocats, Si & Am, etc. Birds? Zazu, Iago, etc.

I wouldn't want wild animals ala Simba as pets because that just sends a bad and potentially dangerous message that they can be domesticated (although technically Zazu is a wild bird, but you get my point). But if VMK does decide pets are an addition they will make, it would be a great opportunity to incorporate more actual Disney characters into the game (something I really think there is a need for).

I can see the pets thing working out well:

Create on Main Street a PAD (Pet Adoption Department). Open PAD for adopting cats, dogs, and (to make a little connection to Toontown) even Doodles, all for 5K credits per. Stuff for your pet includes cool food and water bowls, plus treats (dogs), choco mice (cats), and jellybeans (Doodles). Food costs 100 cred. for a week's worth. If you don't treat your pet well, they will run back to the PAD, which is the only way out of your care and you get NO REFUNDS!! Like VMK humans, they can go in un-blocked teleporters, but you can always get them to come back to you. And for 100 credits, you can get a leash so they can come with you wherever, whenever!

Sounds cool, right??

Q - In order to get certain items of clothing, you must create a character. (Example: Girls lanyard/camera/VMK logo/babydoll shirts). Since the only way to get all the colors of these shirts would be to create mules,could these shirts be sold on the SHOP button? It would definitely cut backon one source of mules.
A - Some items are available, other will stay exclusive to registration.

Now this I just don't understand.
One week, Yavn is practically yelling at us about mules and that they're going to ban us for excessive use of them, and yet they still wankt to keep some items exclusive to registration?

Just does not make sense to me.

Q - Yes! There should not be anything available to new characters that is not available in the game for people to acquire. not only resulting in a lot of unnecessary mules, but a lot of scamming as well. There have been many times I've seen girls giving up very rare items for one of these shirts.
A - One solution is to make the items non tradable, but we will have to wait and see if that’s necessary.

I certainly hope this is not VMK's permanent fall back answer to things they don't like. Only staff costumes and special award pins/badges for rooms should ever be non-tradable. Everything else should be able to be traded. And I know I'm not the only one to feel this way.

Q - Will you ever come out with more flip flop colors or mickey ear colors ( that players can have)?
A - Sure, perhaps when the weather gets warmer!

OK. I can understand waiting until warm weather for flips.
I, and many others, are still very disappointed that we may never get our red ears now.

Q - You have stated green flip flops will not be sold. Could the girls have another type of green shoe to wear with the green tops? I think most girls would appreciate a few more color choices to coordinate our outfits. Girls and shoes you know!
A - Keep you eyes open soon!

Oh please! We need more shoes that actually match the clothes we have. Please make note of "match" as in shades of colors too.

Q - Will the credit reward system in the jungle cruise ever change?
A - Yes, we have some adjustments on the way.

Actually, no, I don't include those. I wasn't even thinking about them. They also should not be traded (imo).
