Hello fellow trip planners :cheer2:!

It is that time once again to visit that special place in your heart, whether it’s an annual trip to your favorite place or somewhere new; whether it’s in-state or outside of it. That place that fills you up with excitement from the inside out and this year it’s Orlando for us !

Being that we took a break from visiting theme parks for the past two summers to visit relatives, we decided to visit the golden state of California back in 2010, and of course we checked out the Hollywood scene as well as their theme parks (Disneyland & Universal Studios Hollywood). We felt it was finally time to go back to our roots, the place my sister and I knew best.

So finally after two…YES – two years of not being in the sunshine state, and not being able to feel the sun beating down on us as we walk through Disney parks as well as US/IoA, we were finally going back!

In every family you have those that are vacation planners and then you have those who just pay for the vacations. Well in this family my sister and I are the planners. Meaning we scour the internet in search of good deals on park tickets, car rentals, and hotel/resort reviews. We price everything and bring it back to our parents (funders of the vacations). Once we get the approval we begin our itinerary.

So, once again our fingers are searching the internet to find things other than parks to visit such as local museums, beaches, restaurants, malls, and other local shops. We only get to visit this magical place once a year, so why not make it the best? Our family hasn’t been to Disney World since 2003 and we are excited to walk down Main Street again! When we took our last trip to Disney, I was only 15yrs old and my sister (BB) was 12yrs old. Being blessed with a bad memory (lol), I don’t really remember too much about Disney World, unlike my sister (BB) who remembers quite a bit more than me. Hopefully when we get there I can say…“hey I remember that,” or “remember when we did this?”

As of right now we have completed step one which is finding a place to stay. The place we chose to stay was World quest resort just a mile away from Disney in which we will be writing a review on trip advisor. You can check us out on trip advisor: http://www.tripadvisor.com/members/tippANDbb :confused3

Now back to our scheduled program: the dates we have chosen are August 5th until the 12th (2012). We will be traveling by car like we do every year that we’ve gone (with the exception of the two times we have flown). But hey, no worries fellow DISers, we will keep you updated on everything and I do mean EVERYTHING!. We’ll do former introductions of the entire the crew later on since we are still in the formative stages of planning this trip.

So, sit back, grab a bucket of popcorn, and allow us to entertain you with stories of our last minute planning popcorn::!

Keepin' Our Cool While Under Pressure

Well, apparently, we have a longggg way to go as far as planning for our August trip to Orlando :scared1:. But, we're used to last minute planning, so we know how to keep our cool under pressure:coffee:.

So how are we able to keep cool under pressure? Maybe we have a high tolerance for stress. Maybe we know that we will pull it together at the end, and plan a wonderfully awesome, magical trip to Disney (and Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure). Or, maybe we're just major procrastinators used to pulling things together at the last minute. Who knows :confused3?

While I don't have a solid answer, I would still say that it's a combination of all three choices :cool2:. The first thing on our "to-do" list, is reserving a room. We haven't reserved a room YET (but you should expect that from us), but we do plan on having a reservation at World Quest Resort by the mid-June mark.

After securing a room for 7 *hopeful* nights, we'll begin searching for ticket deals and secure those also. Then once all of the those necessities are out the way, we can come up with a solid itinerary for each day/night.

We've pulled off some dangerous feats such as planning Disney trips just two weeks in advance, so I'm sure that we can pull off planning an equally wonderful trip this time around. I would assume we could be worse off.

Oh yeah, we may even have some additional vacationers joining us this trip :scared:. Those maybe-possibly surprise guests happen to be our oldest sister and her three children (my two nephews, and niece). I know, I know...terrible, terrible timing for all of us, but...if there's a will, there's a way. And well, if anyone can pull this off, it would be me and my sister...The Last Minute Planners :thumbsup2.

So, have a little faith, and watch us work our magic :wizard::wizard:! After all, don't we all enjoy a good suspense movie/book/story?
