That's the Second Biggest Double Stroller I've Ever Seen- A Dec 2010 TR

Kate, I'm FINALLY caught up. I'm so sorry about Carter and his arm and that the first place you went to was going to take so long...and especially since you knew what was wrong with Carter, but glad he got fixed up. It's always hard when something happens at Disney and you don't know where to go.

I've just started reading your report a few days ago and already caught up. I'm loving it. I so feel what your were feeling with that Security Guard. I had one like that once at HS. He checked my two bags and then went to the next person and I was zipping up mine and hadn't moved and he said, wait I have to check those. And I said you just did check them. And he was like NO I didn't. So I unzipped what I had just zipped up and let him check them again. I know that he was just making sure, but he was rude about it. And once he got half way done with me you could see by the look on his face that he knew I was right, but oh well.

I hope you guys got to eat a nice meal. Yeah for the next trip. We have never been in October, went in September once and it was so hot. So hopefully it won't be that hot for you. We stayed at CBR last trip and my DS loved the kiddie pool and the zero entry pool, so I'm sure that will be a fav for your guys too.

Just read all your TR so far. It is great. You are a good writer. I really like CBR. I think you will enjoy it. The pirate rooms are awesome. Looking forward to more.

We're gonna be in Disney the same week! :cool1:

The walk from DHS to Epcot sounds nice, I would really like to do that someday, but I'm always so sick of walking that driving for 3 minutes is always the better option!

I can't believe they had to inspect your trash. :sad2:

Thanks to all of you who kindly offered Sept./Oct advice. I went ahead and booked last night for the first week in Oct.

I could see the good in both weeks, but Oct won out when Jeremy told me there is a good chance he will have to go on a business trip in Sept. I would hate to have to cancel our trip or change our dates at the last minute, so Oct. it is.

8 nights at Caribbean Beach Resort. I'm so excited. It actually seems real now. :woohoo:

:cool1: Yeah for your October trip.

That is so funny about the security guard.:lmao:

I hope I'm not already too excited to sleep.

"Paul Blart" :rotfl:

All this guy needed was a Segway! :rotfl:

Jeremy loves Club Cool, huh? I've never been. We need to find it on this trip. I'm impressed that you made the walk. I don't doubt my ability to physically do it, I'm just certain I would get lost, or walk the wrong direction. How long was the walk? If you told us, forgive me!

Jeremy does indeed love Club Cool. Sometimes I think he goes to Epcot only for Club Cool. I agree that it is a fun place, definitely worth checking out.

I wasn't sure exactly how far it was, but I looked at a map of it and I did go the long way around. If I had gone the short way, it would have been about a mile, but I'm not sure how much longer my route was. Next time, I'll know just which way to go. :thumbsup2

First off, congrats on setting up an Oct. trip!!! :cheer2: Hopefully, the weather will be perfect then, not to mention you will be able to see all the Halloween decor.

I can't believe the security guy was giving you a hard time about your trash bag. I've discovered, though, that the bag checkers are way more serious at nighttime. It seems odd, you'd think they'd be "on alert" during the busiest time of the day, but based on your incident and all my night time checks, it seems to be the case.

I hope after all that walking and your husband's Club Cool pit stop, you were able to sit down, relax, and eat without the boys waking up.

I really hope the weather will be good and hot in October. I think it would be really fun to go for nighttime swims with the boys. And I can't remember ever seeing the Halloween decor, so that will be really cool.

I do appreciate good security at the parks, but really, a tired mother with two babies? I just can't see how we could have been considered suspect, trash bag or not.

Well, we did get to sit down and eat, so I guess two out of three's not bad. :rotfl:

Yay for your October trip!

I loved both the Food and Wine Festival and the Halloween Party, so I think that is a perfect time to go. I could have spent every evening of our trip at Epcot, tasting all the delicious foods (and drinks) from all over the world.

It's funny how some of the security guards are so lax and some of them are just way over the top. I'm dreading going through security with a diaper bag full of junk!

I think the Food and Wine Festival will be really fun. I was looking at the menus from last year and I think I wanted just about one of everything. I figure we won't need any Epcot restaurants this trip. I hope the Halloween Party is really not so scary. :scared1:

You know, that's part of what was weird about the whole thing with the guard- we had already gone through bag check about 7 times and none of the other guards ever said anything. :confused3

I think it would have been a lot worse if we hadn't known what was wrong with Carter. I would have been worrying the whole time that it was something horrible. But at the same time, knowing what it was and how easy it would be for a doctor to fix, as soon as someone could bother to see him, sort of made it more annoying when it took forever.

Hi! Thanks for reading! That guard checking the bag twice sounds pretty aggravating, too. I'm sure it can be a tough job and all, but they could try to be nice about it.

I just hope the weather is not cold. We can tolerate the heat pretty well. :rotfl: I'm planning lots of pool time in Oct. I thought my boys would like the kiddie pool, but I didn't even realize there was a zero entry pool. That sounds perfect for us!

Just read all your TR so far. It is great. You are a good writer. I really like CBR. I think you will enjoy it. The pirate rooms are awesome. Looking forward to more.

Thanks! I'm getting more and more excited about CBR. I think it will be a good choice for us. Sadly, we didn't get a pirate room. I think they look so cool, but not worth the extra money until the boys have more of a concept of pirate. Although, Carter did learn to say "yo ho" yesterday, so he's probably ready. :rotfl:

All right! Disney the same week! I hope Oct hours come out soon. I can't wait to get planning. And book ADRs. :yay:

Right around the Beach Club, the 3 minute drive was sounding pretty good to me! :rotfl: It was a nice walk, but I think it would have been more fun if we hadn't split up. We could have toured the resorts along the way and checked out the Boardwalk.

I kind of wish now that I had made the guy actually inspect it. If he wanted to search through a bag of trash, he can feel free. :rotfl:

:cool1: Yeah for your October trip.

That is so funny about the security guard.:lmao:

I have such high hopes for this October trip. It's such a good feeling to book a trip. :cloud9:

It is funny, now. At the time, I'm not sure I saw the humor. Just the fact that he was making me stand up over nothing. :rotfl:

that was just odd that the woman of many caramels wouldn't budge. I mean, in the name of EFFICIENCY...

MOVE!!!!!

:sad2::sad2::sad2:

I hate that you had to forego yet another quiet, cozy dinner while the kids napped! UGH!! Trust me, though, they do grow up and it does get easier! :goodvibes

My girls loved MNSSHP and didn't find it scary at all. Our oldest turned 6 on our trip, but she isn't a fan of scary. We didn't even bother with Fantasmic because I knew it would overwhelm her. She loved the Villan show during the party. They just sing about how it is Halloween and that they are spooky. I got some neat pictures...

And the parade is so fun!!! The CM's gave our girls handfuls of candy as they went walking by, and invited us to get up and dance a long.

Our little one was 15 months at the time...no clue what "scary" is...so she soaked it all up just like everything else. =)

My favorite part of the night was having our picture taken with Cinderella's carriage!

I think you guys will enjoy yourselves! :thumbsup2

Did that woman think if she moved someone would steal all her caramels:rotfl2: You just have to shake your head sometimes dont you

I cant wait to try that store....it sounds delicious!

Oooh! I like McQueen. I don't think I 'd trade him. Keep him and buy another to start trading with again!!

It was odd. The CMs looked pretty frazzled trying to get her order right.

I wish dinner had worked out differently, but I guess it was okay. I try to remember that they will grow up quickly and to enjoy the time I have with them, but sometimes it feels like they have been babies forever. I think it will be easier once they are more kid-like and less baby-like. :)

Glad to hear the Halloween party is not so scary! I've always thought the villain of Fantasmic was a bit dark, so I was hoping the party would be less scary.

I am really excited to see the parade. I think the Headless Horsemen alone will be worth the price of admission. :rotfl:

My boys are probably too little to know what scary is, too, but I want it to be a fun night, not an evil rules night.

:lmao: Maybe we looked like caramel thieves. The stroller could have been our getaway car.

Oooh! I like McQueen. I don't think I 'd trade him. Keep him and buy another to start trading with again!!

That's exactly what I was thinking. McQueen was too good to trade, so the only thing to do was get another Vinylmation. :rotfl:

Sophie discovered vinylmation on her own last night at the Disney Store. She was drawn to them and ready to buy! I told her she had to wait until the parks! However, I think we'll get her one and give it to her in the car. Maybe we'll get the boys one too.

That woman totally could tell you were sketchy after the bag incident at the gate. I bet she's the one who tipped off the guard.

I like that one too. I'd just buy a third and forth one so everyone will have their own in the end. How addicting!! :goodvibes

Mornings like that are the worst. Even with a 7yo and a 2yo they still fight over the same toys. It doesn't seem to ever end.

Boy, that morning was certainly trying your patience wasn't it? How sweet that Jeremy and Carter went and bought you a new Vinylmation....which I love btw!!!

I am absolutely loving your trip report. I found it yesterday and just finished up. Your boys are cuties. Poor little guy though having to make an ER visit. We had one of those visits there when my youngest was 11 months old. Glad everything worked out ok for him!

I LOVE the Vinylmations too. They're adorable! Can't wait to read more.:goodvibes

Aww, how sweet of them to buy you another Vinylmation. Of course, now you have TWO you like.
Although, from the sounds of it, I think seperating the boys was a better gift that morning than the Mission Space guy. :rotfl: Hopefully, the boys started to get along once you made it to Kona Cafe.

I bet Sophie will have fun with vinylmations. I think a car vinylmation is a great idea. Every little thing helps on a car ride. And I wouldn't be at all surprised if the boys wanted to get in on the vinylmation trading, too.

I actually didn't end up buying any more that trip. I did get a third from the Disney Store later. I wish the Disney Store did trading. The boys and I would go trade everyday. Which is probably why they don't do it. :rotfl:

A 7yo and a 2yo fight over the same toys? That's surprising. I could see the 2yo wanting 7yo toys. My boys love any toy that is age inappropriate. But I guess it's not really about any particular toy at all.

Yes, it was a trying morning. I think the room kept getting smaller and smaller that morning. :rotfl: It was nice that they got me a new Vinylmation. It definitely made the morning seem better.

Thanks! Sorry to hear you all had to take your 11 month old to the ER, too. It's always the worst when it's the little ones.

I do love my Vinylmations. They're useful at home, too, since the boys like to play with them.

It was kind of too bad that it wasn't one I didn't like. It was really sweet of them, though. And I agree, separating the boys was the best gift. They started getting along fine, as soon as we left the room. They usually play really well together, but I think they just needed some more space to spread out. :thumbsup2

Oh, not surprising at all! My sister and I have 5 children between us, spaced about 18 months apart, and it's hysterical to watch them all gravitate to the youngest child's toys despite a 7 year gap from oldest to youngest! I wish I understood it. :rotfl:

Calm dinners will come! It'll be a few more years, but they will.

It's amazing how much you can do with just one munchkin underfoot. I'm glad your DH realized that and you got the time you needed, not to mention a new Vinylmation!

ETA: Thanks for the idea for caramels! They sound delicious!! And yea for a new trip!!!
