That's the Second Biggest Double Stroller I've Ever Seen- A Dec 2010 TR

Hi, I just stumbled across your trip report. I will have to find some time to read through and get caught up. We're going to be going on a trip for a week Nov/Dec this year with a 22 month old, so I'm really looking forward to reading about your experiences.

Everyone is so in love with the Tonga Toast, but I'm so afraid to try it! :rotfl: I just don't really like bananas that much, so does that mean I won't like it?

I love your GF pics, even if some are a little blurry/dark! The gingerbread house is so beautiful, I wish I had time to see it again last November! :)

Oh, not surprising at all! My sister and I have 5 children between us, spaced about 18 months apart, and it's hysterical to watch them all gravitate to the youngest child's toys despite a 7 year gap from oldest to youngest! I wish I understood it. :rotfl:

Calm dinners will come! It'll be a few more years, but they will.

It's amazing how much you can do with just one munchkin underfoot. I'm glad your DH realized that and you got the time you needed, not to mention a new Vinylmation!

ETA: Thanks for the idea for caramels! They sound delicious!! And yea for a new trip!!!

Kids are funny. Even when I have two of something, they both want both of them. I wish I understood it, too. Then I'd know how to prevent it.

I think we are going to try a few buffet meals in October. Landon will be on all table food by then, so it might work out. It won't be the same as a dinner with just me and Jeremy, but I think it might be pretty good.

Having only one of them underfoot is so much easier. I was happy to get some Landon-only time.

I love the caramels!

Hi! You all are going to have the best time with your 22 month old. Carter was exactly 22 months in December, but you all will have an easier trip, since you won't have the 9 month old, too. :rotfl: Thanks for reading!

It's hard for me to imagine disliking bananas. They seem so innocuous to me, that is difficult to judge how strong the banana flavor is in the Tonga Toast. I don't think it was really overwhelming or anything.

Does Brandon like bananas? You could always get one Tonga Toast and one Big Kahuna, and then you could try the Tonga Toast, but not be stuck with it, if it is too banana-y. Jeremy likes pretty much everything, so that's what we do whenever there's something I'm not sure I'll like.

Thanks! I'm sure I was just missing the correct setting somehow. I don't actually know much about my camera. I really need to read up on it sometime.

Can't wait to hear about the Christmas Party. I'm sure all of you had a blast.

Those pictures of Carter laughing in the stroller are too adorable! He just looks so happy!

Reading your TR is making me feel very good about our trip. You guys have definitely been able to have a very good time. Obviously you can't expect everything to go as planned, but our little guy (also named Landon) is easily entertained and loves to people watch... definitely not a stroller napper though.

Anyway, I just want to say that I'm caught up and I have really enjoyed reading your TR. It is very well written and you have a couple of cute little boys. I really feel bad for you guys for having to deal with Carter's injury. That's never fun, and especially when you're at Disney World. I guess there's no such thing as a vacation without some kind of memorable mishap though.

We're really interested in doing the Christmas party when we go... I've never been during that time of year, but have always wanted to. I look forward to reading about it!

I love the Christmas Party too! I honestly don't know how I'm not going to go this year, I went in 2009 and 2010...it's going to be hard! :sad1:

What a weird CM, making you take those First Visit buttons. :confused3 It was probably easier to just take then, rather than explain why you didn't need them! :rotfl:

I love Liberty Square, we always seem to go there when we don't know what to do!

Can't wait to hear more about the party!

Just found your TR! Subscribing and going back to read! :)

Lovely breakfast at the POLY! Cant' think of anything nicer than a pressed pot! :thumbsup2

We did have a blast! Party nights are the best. :cool1:

Thanks! I love to get pictures of them when they look so happy. :goodvibes

We must have had a pretty good time, since we're eager to go back in October. :rotfl: If your Landon is easily entertained and loves to people-watch, he'll have a great time. And he might surprise you with the stroller naps. My boys pretty much only do stroller naps at Disney World.

Thanks! I'm glad you like my trip report. It's funny, Carter's injury is really the first memorable mishap we had ever had on vacation. Even when I was a kid, I can't remember ever going to the doctor or getting hurt on vacation. One incident was enough for me.

I would definitely recommend the Christmas party. The park has a more magical feel to it. Christmas at Disney is beautiful. It's a great time to go.

I missed the Christmas party in 2008 and 2009 since I was pregnant both years. We went to see Disney on Ice instead, which frankly, was not at all the same, but slightly better than nothing. The first year you don't go is the hardest. It gets easier from then on.

I really don't get why they are pushing the celebration pins so much. When I called to book our Oct. trip, I think the CM wanted me to make up a celebration of some sort. I'm sure I could have said we were celebrating my March birthday a bit late and we would get tons of birthday pins.

Liberty Square is a fun place to hang out. And it was a very nice bench.

Just found your TR! Subscribing and going back to read! :)

Hi! Welcome and thanks for reading!

Lovely breakfast at the POLY! Cant' think of anything nicer than a pressed pot! :thumbsup2

I'd like a press pot of Kona coffee right now! :rotfl: I can't see us ever missing a breakfast at Kona Cafe now. We'll be there at least once every time.

Thats too cute with the corndog nuggets. Too bad you didn't get a pic!! My son was 34" 6 months before our trip so I too was hoping he'd be tall enough for the barnstormer. Lucky for us there was a very nice CM by the measuring stick. His head just barely hit the bottom of the stick so we were good to go. He loved it!! We also took him on the Tea Cups and he loved to spin but not to fast.
By the way I love reading your TR. Can't stop because you really know how to keep people coming back with those cliffhangers! Look forward to getting a little update each night or in the am when I'm supposed to be getting ready for work!!:cheer2:

We're non-spinners on the teacups, too. I pretend it's for the kids' sake, but really it's so I don't get sick:lmao:!

I have heard so many people loving the corn dog nuggets lately that I am definitely going to try them on the next trip. We've never eaten at Casey's, as we're not big hot dog people, but there must be something spectacular about these nuggets!!

Never had corn dog nuggets, but that sounds like something we might have to try. I'm not much of a teacups person anyway... I don't think I've ridden it since I was small, but I think our little guy would love it. That's a shame that Carter couldn't do the coaster. All the more reason to schedule another triip!

Hi There! I'm just joining in and really enjoying your TR! So sorry about Carter getting hurt, but I'm glad that everything turned out OK in the end and you were still able to enjoy your trip.

I'm 110% with you on Tonga Toast. That stuff is manna of the gods! I always book breakfast at Kona on our last day, because even though I am really sad to see the last day come, Tonga toast makes it a little easier to bear.

Oh and to the person who is wary because they don't like bananas, I think you should give it a try. I'm not a huge banana lover either, I have nothing against banana flavored things, but I'd never just eat a banana by choice. Its something about the sugary fried goodness that makes the banana extra good.

I've never been to a Christmas party, so I'm really interested in your experiences, maybe someday!

How cute, Carter loved those corn dog nuggets! They sound interesting, I've never had an actual corn dog, but I kind of want to try those nuggets! For some reason, we alway skip Casey's!

Awww, that's too bad Carter was too little for the Barnstormer. :(

I'm almost up to date in terms of reading your trip report, but I just had to comment and say your boys are absolutely adorable!!!

I also think it's funny that I'm on the page where you wrote about how you got the Lightning McQueen Vinylmation! That's the one my fiancé wanted to get so badly! I'm sure we'll be on a quest to find it next year!

Carter can put an astounding amount of food in his mouth at once without choking on it. It's a gift. I do wish I had gotten a picture of him eating his corn dog nuggets.

I think Carter would have been fine to go on the Barnstormer. He was really close to the stick. I'm sure he will be tall enough in Oct., if it is even open then.

Thanks! I'm having the best time writing about our trip, and I'm glad you like reading about it. :)

I can go either way on the tea cups, spinning or not. I think it's really fun to get it going as fast as possible, but it's also kind of fun to sit back and watch the World go by.

I don't know if I would say that I loved the corn dog nuggets, but Carter sure seemed to. I think because I had read so much about them on here, then I had them up on a corn dog pedestal and was expecting something greater. They were good, but I had expected something incredible.

Just don't leave the corn dog nuggets sitting around unattended. I think we might try the tea cups in October. Carter and Landon could be in charge of spinning. I hope the Barnstormer is still around in October, but if not, I'm sure we'll be back again and again.

Hi! Good to have you! Carter getting hurt made for a few bad hours, but I think we all bounced back pretty quick.

That's an interesting idea, booking Kona Cafe on the last day for breakfast. We've never done that, but that would be kind of nice. Do you do the last full day or the day you are actually going home? I could see it being nice for going home day, but it would also be good on the last park day, sort of a celebration. Or better yet, both days!

The Christmas party is a lot of fun. I'm not sure if "maybe someday" is meant to mean maybe you'll go someday or maybe I'll actually get around to writing about the party someday. :rotfl: Probably either one is appropriate.

How cute, Carter loved those corn dog nuggets! They sound interesting, I've never had an actual corn dog, but I kind of want to try those nuggets! For some reason, we alway skip Casey's!

Awww, that's too bad Carter was too little for the Barnstormer. :(

Carter did love those corn dog nuggets! We probably should have gotten him another order of them. :rotfl: We aren't big Casey's people either, but we have been known to get hot dogs to eat while we wait for Spectromagic.

Yes, it was too bad Carter was too short. But, maybe by waiting, Landon will be tall enough to ride, too and we could all go together. That would be nice.
