DH got a call from one of our former groomsmen - he's engaged! Woohoo! Asked DH to be a groomsman as well.

However - the wedding is April 30, 2005.

My sister's wedding, which I'm the Matron of Honor, is May 28, 2005.

My sorority sister's wedding, which I'm a bridesmaid, is June 2005.

A close friend from high school's wedding is Oct. 15, 2005. (Neither of us are in this one, thank goodness!)

Plus, DH's sister is talking about summer 2005 if she gets a ring soon (I would be asked to be in it) and my bestest friend is talking about summer or Christmas break 2005 (I'd be in that one, too.)

I've officially decided no one else can get married in 2005. And that I need to sign up for frequent flier miles.

Wow, that's alot of weddings, time off, and wedding gifts. Hope you have fun at all of them.

way to far in advance for the weddings, they will all break up

Find the bridesmaid dress now and talk the brides into the one so you can save money:smooth:

I feel your pain! We've got 3 weddings this October and one is in Ireland. Not that I mind going back to Ireland, but I don't know how to fit in the other two around it.

And I thought I was one of the last to get married! lol

If I were you, I'd start a little savings account and put some money into it every week!

I had a similar circumstance 15 years ago when I was in my mid20's. Was a bridesmaid in 7 weddings in 14 months!!!!!

That was an expensive period of time!

Ahhh yes, I remember the summer of the weddings for us. Maid of Honor, Matron of Honor and two bridesmaids. All our college friends seemed to get married in '84. Everybody's gift got cheaper and cheaper! One of our friends got married five years ago and got fabulous gifts. I told DH we should have held off for about 10 years and gotten the good stuff.

Wow, that is a lot.

One of DH's friends is getting married on New Years Eve and then I'm in a friend's wedding Jan. 7th. What a way to start off the new year!

I think you and your dh should renew your vows next year.;) That or you need to become a wedding planner with all the weddings you're in this year.:teeth:

We were not in as many weddings, but DH and I had a run, one Autumn where we had 9 weddings in 7 weeks.

Totally and completely OT--Skuttle, that new pic of Colin is the CUTEST. Just makes me want to melt. He's gorgeous.

Wow that is a lot! I've only been to one wedding ever. Hopefully in a few years I'll have plenty to go to, including my own. :D

I've got a wedding to attend this weekend and I've found I'm really looking forward to it. I haven't been to one in about a year though so it's been fun picking out a gift and looking forward to the service and the reception.
