Arrgh. Hiss. Grr.Yowl!
Ok..now that I've gotten THAT outta the way...
I don't understand why some family members feel free to give out DH and I's address and ph #. Last week we had some creepy guy selling some sort of cancer insurance come knocking on our door, supposedly sent by my stepsister and her DH. And then this past Sat morning, we get woken up at around 6 am
eek: ) by the phone.
DH:Er..hello
Guy on the phone:Hi this is *blanktey blanketyblank blank* and I'm with *such and such blah blah blah*. Do you know *insert DSister's name here*?
DH:Yeah. Why?
GOTP: We are looking for her. Do you happen to know her phone number and address?
DH: Yes but I'm not giving it to you unless you tell me why you n eed it, sir.
GOTP:I'm not authorized to tell you that.
DH:Well then I'm not authorized to give you her phone number and address. I'll give her a message from you, but I will not give you her phone number and address. That is unless you'd like to tell me WHY you want it in the first place;
GOTP:Sorry..I can't do that. We need to talk to her about financial issues.
DH:Fine I'll tell her that. Don't call me again.
GOTP:I can't promise that. If we can't get ahold of her, we'll have to call you back.
DH
on't.
GOTP:Fine. Good bye.
I'm not even sure how the company on the phone connected DSister and I, since o ur last names differ and we live in two different cities. I suspect that they called my mom and mom, pretending to not know Dsis's ph #, gave them our # because she knows we have sis's cell #.
Makes me wanna go become a hermit, I swear.

BUT the company is not allowed to call you until after 8 a.m. and not after 9 p.m. If they do again yell in the phone "Its 6 in the morning you'll hear from my attorney" Bet you won't ever have another early call again.
I once had a long distance carrier call me after 9 and I told him if he didnt shut up and hang up they'd owe me $1000 for calling after 9 p.m. Gotta love living in a state that doesn't change our clocks in the spring and fall.
