Welcome to my PTR! I will be updating with pictures momentarily, but let me start with the cast and back story.

We are a family of four. Me, my husband and two sons (10 and 13) that live about an hour south of Chicago in a small farming town. My husband and I are both teachers in the town we live in. Until recently it was just our little family of four who lived here, but within the last year my parents and two grandmas and a grandfather have moved here. A little crazy! They don't get Disney but they tolerate my obsession.

Our last trip was about three years ago. We were among a lucky handful to receive a free dining pin code and went in June. It was hot, which is a no brainer going in June, but it broke records that year. That was an issue. The pin code was for free quick service dining, so we didn't upgrade. It was our first family trip and we didn't want to be tied down to ADRs. Big mistake. I couldn't convince my husband to take daily breaks back at the resort. He was determined to squeeze every minute out of the parks and it was exhausting. Another big mistake.

We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside and got an upgrade to a pool view room in the mansion section. That was heavenly. We loved POR. Our first full day there we headed to Magic Kingdom and put a full day in. That night we were standing in line for the Dessert Party trying to contain my overtired 7 year old. As we entered and got to our table we noticed he was gone. He was there one second and the next he had disappeared. The CM at the entrance insisted he had come in with us. For those of you who have done this, you know that area is not that big, but we wasted time looking around that area. He hadn't, he had followed someone that looked like his dad out to Main Street. As you may also know the lights go down for the parade. Some kind people stayed with my other son, or even gave up their dessert party time to help us look. I'll never forget them. After 20 minutes of pure terror, a CM told me they had located him and were bringing him too us. He came dashing around the corner and many tears were shed. As we brought him back to the party, everyone cheered. All in all a happy ending, right? The only problem is it scarred my son for life. He is still terrified of the dark and not really fond of parades. I hope we can fix that this time round.

Four days into the trip the heat got to me and I passed out coming out of the Rose and Crown Pub and I hadn't anything to drink but water! How embarrassing! It did a number on me too. Sprained my ankle badly, bruised my shin bone and had multiple scraps and bruises everywhere. I looked like I'd been beaten up. My husband pushed me around in a wheelchair the last three days of our trip. It was interesting.

Those were some pretty a major headaches, but this time I know what I'm doing a bit more. We have TS credits every day, sometimes twice! I know how to battle the heat. My husband and I have lost almost 100 lbs between us! That will help! I'm insisting we take a break everyday and after the wheelchair incident last year, my husband is listening to me this time.

Next up, more info about the cast.

This is a pic of my boys. "P" is 13 now and "C" just turned 10 last week. These are the POR rooms that have been refurbished into the Royal Rooms now. We will be staying in one from June 6 through the 14th! The boys have no idea. They think we're just staying in the same kind of room. I'm not worried it will be too girly. They will love the headboards and the details in the room. They are just those kind of kids. Honestly, it was my husband who pushed for us to stay in one. I didn't put up much of a fight, lol!

Here are my boys and husband enjoying the wonderful Napolean which has changed. :( Despite the craziness of the last trip, it converted my husband to a Disneynut. Maybe not as bad as me, but certainly up there! We've talked DVC and we know it's in our future. He says we probably won't go back in a year though because we want to go other places. That is a good point. I don't believe it though. I have a feeling he'll be booking a bounceback this trip.

I can't seem to find a decent picture of me yet.

Here they are last Easter. "P" has grown over 6 inches this last year alone. "C" isn't far behind him despite that he's almost 4 years younger. I can't wait to see how they measure up to Mickey. There were quite a bit shorter last time.

There we are. It's not great, but there it is. This was taken literally maybe 20 minutes before I hit the pavement face first. Yeah, fun times.

On our ADR day I was up at 5 a.m. fingers poised over the computer.... only to have the site crash! I was so beyond frustrated! Then I got on here and someone suggested I try a different browser, so I did and it worked! I thankfully got everything I wanted! I've changed a few around since then, because that's what Disney obsessed people seem to do. Here they are:

Arrival Day - Hoop-Dee-Doo
June 7 - Mama Melrose Fantasmic Package (Star Wars Weekends, yay!)
June 8 - Crystal Palace breakfast, Be Our Guest for dinner
June 9 -Tusker House, Brunch (Pirates and Pals Cruise that evening)
June 10 - Biergarten for dinner
June 11 - Cape May Clam Bake for dinner
June 12 - Liberty Tree Tavern for Lunch
June 13 - Yak and Yeti for Lunch
June 14 - Coral Reef for lunch

CS we're looking foward to trying: Columbia Harbour House, Wolfgang Puck Express, and some of the CS at the resorts (besides our own, which we love). We love "Eating Around Epcot", which is basically sampling some of the good eats around the World Showcase.

I'm working on this quite a bit today because I've got the time. I'm hope with "C" who has a bad cold. The rest of this week is super busy!

We should be arrived at MCO at 12:40 if all goes well. Our plan is to hopefully get checked into our room, get our Garden Grocery order put away (plenty of water this time), and hang around the resort and swim for awhile. We'll probably get a light lunch or snack to hold us over. We then plan to head to Fort Wilderness about 4:30. I'd like to get there early and explore for awhile. We will be going to the 6:15 p.m. show. I am very excited about this. We've never done it before and it sounds like so much fun!

We'll head back to the resort right after because we need to get up super early for Star Wars Weekend Friday! Yay! My kids are big Star Wars fans. Okay, I am too.

We will be up at the crack of dawn and eat a light breakfast in the room. We'll head to Hollywood Studies very early. I'm interested to see how the whole wristband thing may change the mad dash to TSMM. We shall see. Last time we didn't see any shows, which is crazy, because we love that kind of thing. We often see musicals and shows in Chicago. Why we didn't last time... I don't know. Trying to fit too many rides in I guess. That is going to change. Air conditioning! We we wil be watching Beauty and the Beast, The Voyage of the Little Mermaid, Indiana Jones, and maybe Lights, Motors, Action. Yes, I realize that they aren't all airconditioned. A break is a break. Then we'll do as many rides as we can.

Here's my issue. I don't know where to have lunch. I want to go back to the resort to take a break, and that would be lunch. However, I want to see the SW parade at 12:40, so we could go after that, but it's too late for lunch. I just don't like the CS offerings at Hollywood Studios. I guess Starring Rolls but I'm not a sandwich person. We may just have to stick there the whole day so as not to miss anything and just stay hydrated and just tough it out snacking until dinner.

We have dinner around 6 at Mama Melrose with the Fantasmic! Package. I didn't want to risk not having special seating with the crowds that will be there. We waited about 2 hours in line last time. In the heat. Yikes! Though our seats were great, it just wasn't worth it.

We'll head back to the resort for an early morning the next morning.

We will up bright and early today. We have an early ADR at Crystal Palace before Magic Kingdom opens. I am so looking foward to this. We love Tigger and Eeyore. Eeyore reminds us of my husband's father, who passed away about 4 years ago. We used to call him that whenever he'd answer the phone. My father in law loved Tigger. He'd buy any Tigger toys he saw for the boys. Therefore, the title of this PTR comes into play. Thie first of the Mickey Waffles will be consumed!

So after a yummy breakfast we'll head straight to the new Fantasyland and do whatever we can do there. We will be taking a midafternoon break. We'll probably grab a snack or two, but I doubt we'll need a full fledged lunch.

Later that night, we have dinner reservations at Be Our Guest. I'm very excited about this. I know it's been getting mixed reviews, but don't most places? The atmosphere looks amazing! I have no idea what we'll do after that. I guarantee my son will be sticking close by during the parade.

Today we will head to Animal Kingdom. We aren't in a huge hurry this morning to make rope drop. We have later morning breakfast reservations at Tusker House. Mickey Waffles day 2!! "C" had a few requests for this trip. He wanted to meet Daisy. I don't know why, but he was adament. This seemed the best way to do it. Plus it's airconditioning in Animal Kingdom, which seemed beyond impossibly hot last time. The food looks good too!

We will watch "The Lion King" and "Finding Nemo", since we missed those last time. "C" is looking forward to riding Dinosaur, since he wasn't tall enough last time. "P" is trying to get up the nerve to do Expedition Everest again. It wasn't his favorite.

We will be taking a mid afternoon break again.

We will then head over to Magic Kingdom that evening. We'll probably eat dinner at Columbia Harbour House or Cosmic Rays. Later on I have a big surprise for the boys. "C" is really loving Peter pan stories right now. We read a book and now he's "hooked", pardon the pun. I've booked the Pirates and Pal's Fireworks Cruise. We'll head over to the Contemporary and have fun meeting Captain Hook, Smee, and then Peter Pan later on. We are really looking foward to this! My husband and I even ordered special shirts for it! Afterward we'll head back into MK for EMH hours until 12 a.m.

On this day we will finally make it to Epcot. We love Epcot! It was "C"s favorite park last time. Yes, even more than MK. We will get then when we can, seeing as we'll be tired from EMH the night before. The plan is to either eat Mickey Waffles for breakfast at the resort, or eat "around the world" for lunch at Epcot and sample some new things. I'm looking forward to eating CS in Morocco. We missed that last time. We didn't eat CS in China or at Sunshine Seasons. We'll try those next time. Maybe. We really like the CS in Mexico and the UK. Japan was okay. We really want to wander the World Showcase today, and if we manage to go to Test Track, Spaceship Earth, and the Nemo stuff, that's okay too. Maybe we'll even get on Soarin'. Again, I think it will be nice if the Magicbands are into use and I can pick what rides we want to get Fastpasses for ahead of time.

We'll take a midday break if we want to. it depends on what time we get there that morning.

That evening we have reservations at Biergarten. I've eaten there a back in the late 80's and loved it then. I've been to Germany and the food was about as close as you can get compared to what I had over there. That was back then, but we'll see. Either way, my husband is happy. He's in his element here. He has been begging to eat here and he'll finally have his chance. We'll get out just in time to watch Illuminations and head back to the resort. Or we could be crazy and head to Hollywood Studios for EMH.

Our morning this morning rather open. The first idea is to go back to Hollywood Studios. This depends on whether or not we get in everything from the time before. We may head to Epcot that morniing. We may decided not to do anything but hang around the resort and swim. Who knows? We may head to Downtown Disney. The point it, we actually have an unplanned morning and afternoon.... well..... planned! That evening we are heading to The Beach Club to eat at the Cape May Clam Bake. We love seafood, though my youngest is allergic to shellfish. He'll be happy with the mac and cheese and "steak" (roast beef). He's not badly allergic, but it's just better if avoids the shellfish. After rolling ourselves out of that place, we plan to head to Epcot and stay for EMH that evening. We've never done Epcot for EMH, so I'm looking forward to this

Today we head back to Magic Kingdom. We have lunch reservations at Liberty Tree Tavern. I've heard all about the Ooey Gooey Toffee Pudding. It looks so yummy! The pot roast looks good too! We plan on heading back in the afternoon for a swim break. We plan on going to the Dessert Party that evening. It's another take it easy day!

I'm following along for the ride. Sounds like you all are going to have a great time! Thanks for sharing. :)
