THAT WAS TOTALLY WICKED!!! The Incredible(s) Trip to Disney

I have to start off by giving you a great big THANK YOU!! You have reminded me what my upcoming trip is all about. Hubby and me time. I can't wait to hear more. It does seem that ya'll were off to a magical start.

I have been mising Soarin like no other ride since my trip. I just want to ride it again and again!

Great installment. :goodvibes

Ohhhhh, me too!! To me Soarin is an "emotional" ride. In a very good way of course. :goodvibes

Finally, I found a Trip Report.

I'm not sure when you were in Disney World, but it occurs to me we might have been there at the same time. I'll keep looking in the background of your pictures to see if any ZZUBs are spotted.

Your description of PORiverside is very vivid. We really enjoyed it there and I think Ol Man Island is one of the best pools on property. It never felt too crowded and the slide is a boat-load of fun. I loved the morning coffee walks there, too.

It's interesting the sense of familiarity you describe around every corner at Disney World. Mrs. Z and I were talking about that on the day we arrived as well. How you can be gone for a year or more and get on the ME bus and it all feels like you were just there, five minutes earlier. I don't know why that is. Is it b/c we spend so much time talking about our trips and dreaming of the next one? Or have we crossed over into full on obsession? I'll leave that to the medical experts.

Looking forward to reading more.

After our "drive-by" ;) Dis meet, I'm so excited to read your report and really hear about what a great time you guys had! Can't wait to read more! :goodvibes

It might have been "drive-by" but it meant a lot to me!! It was GREAT to meet you, to be able to put a face to "TK" now when I read these boards! I also can't wait to read more about YOUR trip!

Indeed we were. I hope you and your DH have just as magical of a trip! I can't wait for a DH-and-I-only trip....:headache: But you'll read more on that in upcoming chapters!! :rotfl:

LL! Great to see you! Isn't Soarin' the best? I could ride that over and over, too. I still want to know how they make you feel like you're picking up speed as you crest the mountain with the skiers on it....

And how do you like the pics?.....and hey!...not a lamp to be seen!! :lmao:

Zzub!!!.... Thanks for stopping by! Glad you're enjoying it. I have to tell you, even though we "have" to stay at POR due to being a family of 5 [who can't currently afford deluxe...], you introduced me to the place in "The Battle...III" ! When we stayed there the first time two years ago, I already knew all about the confusing paths in AB, the serenity of an early morning coffee walk, and that the pool slide is good for Olympic gold! :thumbsup2

Hmm.... talking about past trips, planning the next, or full on obsession? I'll take "Full On Obsession" for $1000 please, Alex.

subbing - can't read it all in one sitting - but I'll be back!!!!!

Welcome! It's ok, it reads just as well in bits and pieces. And hey, you can always just look at the pictures! :goodvibes

I felt the same way! I now picture you when I read your report, and it was so great to meet you!

I know! It's so awesome. I wish I had been able to ride it about 15 more times.

I'm a little sad about that. :sad2: Though I do like your pics!

I'm noticing a distinct lack of LegoMom pics. I sure hope to see some soon. Loving the report. You can just feel the Disney love.

I am so glad that I waited to get home today to read your installments. Your pictures are beautiful and honestly, I could ride Soarin' and visit the Seas all day!

Yes - where is LegoMom??? In fact - how come moms are normally missing from pictures??? I am going to make a concious effort to pass the camera to DH next month to make sure that when my kids are grown they realize I did indeed go on vacation with them!! LOL

Even when dh does take pictures, they aren't worth posting or printing.

Hopefully I was able to rememdy this earlier on the Lapu thread! And I also hope the rest of your day was better.

Aww...thank you! I probably shouldn't say anything to you, as I suspect this will just pour more fuel on the fire of your enthusiasm, but the DVC bug bit while we were there. There's no way in heck we could do it now, but I wanna... Someday. Anywho, it made me think of you!

Pics of moi?! Well, since I take the pictures, there are rarely any of me. Which I don't mind. I'm not fond of seeing myself as the camera sees me. But, for all of your sakes, I'll try to dig one up before this TR is over.

Hi c! Thanks for the nice comments. Glad you like it so far! There are lots more pics to come. Stay tuned!

Moms are normally missing from pictures because that is Clause #296.1 in the Mom contract: "You will be required to obtain and the learn the proper use of an image-capture device in order to accurately document every second of your family's life. This will apply to daily use but you will be expected to double your efforts for your child(ren)'s first step, first word, at any and all graduation ceremonies, and while on vacation. No other family members are required to perform this task, which will result in a disproportionately low number of photos of you, the Mom."

That's what Photopass is for :rotfl: that's the only way I get in vacation photos. God forbid we go to a place that's NOT Disney!!!!

Where's the next update? :rotfl:

Sunday night!!
mockery-017.gif

Sorry, we'll be out of town from tonight until then! I am bringing my laptop (which I just discovered can go on the Internet....:headache: D'oh! Could've DIS'd while I was at the World... My dad picked it up for me used and I'm still learning about it) but I don't think the house we're going to has a DSL hook-up.

Please stay tuned....:surfweb:

You are right. Between getting you to move to Florida and now buy DVC, I will never let up! (insert evil laughter.)

Looking forward to you finding pictures of yourself to post. Though your curly headed boys are sure cuties.

Nice! I remember that picture being in your siggie a while back. My family has our pictures on the Legend wall. I should have told you where so you could find us. (Though I never actually remember the wall numbers, just how to get there.)
