That Pirate Stole My Tiara: The Pre-Trip Report

Just found your TR yesterday and have read through all of the chapters but not the individual posts. I'm LOVING it ! Can't wait for the Drinking Around the World part !!!!! World Showcase is my favorite place on Earth.

As for that couple, brother/sister??? You observed in the Living Seas My nieces BF calls her Mom "MOM" Hope that's the case here.

And that giant Coke bottle bank you should totally get one and use it for a Disney fund. DH has one he has filled (with SILVER only !) a couple of times and bought a computer and a laptop, we're getting ready to buy another laptop! I keep thinking I should get my own bottle and fill it maybe some day I'll get to stay at GF with it.

Just giving you a little incentive to start back up again. ;)

Well...

well...

well...

First things first - I have not abandoned ye, thee, all y'all. And all that. Not. One. Bit. I have been, however, consumed by work and private stuff and all that comes with this thing we call Life. I'm happy to report, though, that now that things are getting back to a more sensible, er, sense of the norm that I shall pick up where I left off. Namely, here.

I have not yet read all of the postings since my last post to y'all. I will, and I will respond in turn. And then I will get a new chappie up.

Second things second, Happy Chrismahannukwanzadon.
YOU figure that one out. I don't think I forgot anyone/anything.

Third things after the second things - Happy 2009.
45% of people make resolutions.
8% keep them.
BE the 8%.
BE the change you want to see in the world. (I can't take credit for that one. That one came from the Dhali Lama or Chrishnamurthi or some some person who is far wiser than I.)

Fourth things - DUDES, DUDETTES. I have SO missed you all. Mostly.
;)

Finally, and let this serve as a warning, my re-immersion into the DIS will be slow and methodical. I was subscribed to like 40-some odd threads before my "disappearence". I'd like to catch up with almost all of them. I also have a whole bunch of PMs to catch up on. Gee, guys, I feel so loved! Thank you!

Anywho.

In the meantime, some important tidbits to ponder about your beloved Tinkerbellarella:

-the 2009 September trip is off the books, not gon do it; wouldn't be prudent.
-there are some surprises up my collective sleeves, Disney and otherwise, however, none of them include the following: wedding proposals, babies or my MarioKart prowess (or lack thereof).
-the dear BF got Tink a Wii for Christmas (hence the MarioKart reference above)
-I have actually pared down the number of boxes I have left to unpack from moving (in September, AHEM) to about 7. (that doesn't count the attic..but who counts the attic???)
-Whilst the September 2009 trip is out, I'm currently assisting in the planning of an April trip for my therapist and her kids and a February trip my grandfather is planning on surprising my grandmother with for their 50th anniversary.

Toodles!!!

:flower3:

Well. I just don't understand this hiatus. I've been giving it a lot of thought.

Either

a) you are extremely busy at work

DING!DING!DING!

We have a winner, folks!
Now, pick a prize!

2) you've lost that lovin' feeling for your legions of loyal fans

#1 - NEVER.
#2 - I would like to personally thank you for getting that stuck in my head.
#3 - NEVER.

Quatro - you desperately want to talk to us but you are trapped under something heavy.

Well, the BF is 5'11" and a muscly 230lbs and sometimes he likes to sit on me on the couch until I'm screaming that I can't breathe.
Which is ironic when one considers one needs air to scream.
Which only results in him opting to tickle me.
Which turns out badly for one of us, and it's usually the one that gets kicked in the face with my foot.
Moral of the story: Tickling = Bad

PS: I've googled "tinkerbellarella and Boston" and I haven't gotten any hits. I'm taking that as a good sign.

You DO realize I'm now going to go and Google that myself?

Please oh please come back!![/quote

Your wish is my command.

Just don't wish for a million bucks. I'm going to have to give you an IOU on that one.

*more crickets*

Sometimes when I hear crickets I think of the pre-show for It's Tough to Be A Bug.

:flower3: :flower3: :flower3: :flower3: :flower3: :flower3:

popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn::

Miss you! :goodvibes

Miss you too!
Bloated from all that popcorn?

I'm late...I'm late...for a very important date.

I know a rabbit that said that once.
Then he fell down a whole.
Watch where you're going. That's all I'm sayin'.

Have you forgotten about us?

Nope. Unfortunately I just had to put the DIS on ::PAUSE::
.
As for that couple, brother/sister??? You observed in the Living Seas My nieces BF calls her Mom "MOM" Hope that's the case here.

Hadn't considered that but I also hope that's the case!
And WELCOME! by the way. :goodvibes

And that giant Coke bottle bank you should totally get one and use it for a Disney fund.

This is a GREAT idea. Might be a tough sell for the BF, though, as anti-Disney as he is. We currently pool our change TOGETHER. He might get all sorts of jealous and whiny. LOL

Just giving you a little incentive to start back up again. ;)

Wait.
That's incentive to come BACK?
It's really reverse psychology incentive.
If I DON'T post, you'll post more Sparrow.
Savvy?
;)

Welcome back, Tink! Can't wait to hear/read/see all the news!

Ghandi said, "Be the change you want to see in the world." I have it on a magnet and as a quote on my FB page. ;)

::sigh::

Ghandi.
The Dhali Lama.
Krishnamurthi (whose name I positively butchered the first time!).

They're all a whole heck of a lot wiser than yours truly!

It's good to "see" you. I've thought a lot about all of my friends through the holidays. :goodvibes

yes?

Yes?

YES????

First things first - I have not abandoned ye, thee, all y'all. And all that. Not. One. Bit. I have been, however, consumed by work and private stuff and all that comes with this thing we call Life. Phew. I was a little worried at the slow start. Reminds me of Mario Kart. Heh heh heh.

Not that I should brag either, but you know. :lmao:

BE the change you want to see in the world. (I can't take credit for that one. That one came from the Dhali Lama or Chrishnamurthi or some some person who is far wiser than I.)

So working on this. Seriously. And thanks to CP for quoting it, too. I really, really need to remember this when I go to work.

Fourth things - DUDES, DUDETTES. I have SO missed you all. Mostly.
;)

Us, too.

Mostly. ;)

Okay, not mostly. TOTALLY MISSED YOU!

Thank you!

You are beloved. I can't tell you how many times I was asked about you, or to send you some DIS love. By the by, if you'd like to know exactly how many, you could check the Lapuette thread.

Hey, there's a new one. I should PM you. :thumbsup2
-there are some surprises up my collective sleeves, Disney and otherwise, however, none of them include the following: wedding proposals, babies or my MarioKart prowess (or lack thereof).

I can't believe you put prowess.

Really? ;)

-the dear BF got Tink a Wii for Christmas (hence the MarioKart reference above)

I think the dear BF needs a Star Wars game for the WII. One that involves light sabers.

Just sayin'.

-I have actually pared down the number of boxes I have left to unpack from moving (in September, AHEM) to about 7. (that doesn't count the attic..but who counts the attic???)

Much like my storage unit. Out of sight, out of mind.:lmao:

Alrighty. Don't make me do it.

Don't make me withhold further delicious pictures of the good captain until you're back.

Well, you are back.

So here's another one, dearie.

By the by, while you're pondering that lovely photo, may I just add...

You have no idea how good it felt to multi-quote you. And I mean that in a completely innocent, DIS-propriate way.

Yeah, you're back! I was beginning to think you were going to be one of those people who never finish their trip reports.

:woohoo: Woo Hoo Tink is back!

You've been missed, yet I think of you daily when I use the word carp. I blame you for getting that one stuck in my head.

Hey Tink- I'm lovin' it. I don't read too many trip reports, and have never attempted one myself, 'cause I'd have a terrible time finishing.... But, I'm hooked now, so I will patiently wait for the completion of your trip report. I can always use a good laugh. :goodvibes

Phew. I was a little worried at the slow start. Reminds me of Mario Kart. Heh heh heh.

JERKY.

Not that I should brag either, but you know. :lmao:

True that. Did you come in higher than 7th?

Aww. All sorts of warm and fuzzies.

I can't believe you put prowess.

Really? ;)

Really. But mostly just because I wanted to use the word prowess in a sentence.

Yeah, you're back! I was beginning to think you were going to be one of those people who never finish their trip reports.

NEVER one of THOSE people. It was just an unexpected, unscheduled break in the action.

You've been missed, yet I think of you daily when I use the word carp. I blame you for getting that one stuck in my head.

Seriously. ANYONE else might be offended at being associated with CARP. Not your gal Tink. :thumbsup2

Hi! And welcome! And I'm honored to be one of the TRs you're reading.

I promise not to keep you guys waiting TOO much longer. Might just need to get to the weekend. Work has lightened up a bit, but we're still busy. But I need all of you great DIS people in my life and I need to keep writing so never fear. Tinkerbellarella is here!

Welcome back, my friend! :) :) :) :)

Fanks!

I love toodles!!! People at my work make fun of me for using it, but I don't care. :flower3:

A girl I worked with a long time ago got me into the habit of saying that. :goodvibes

Good, I'm not the only one. I had to explain to my DD12 why I yelled "Oh, carp!" at the football game last night.

Good, I'm not the only one. I had to explain to my DD12 why I yelled "Oh, carp!" at the football game last night.

I'm a carp-er too!

Really, I don't think I can take the credit for the "first carp" (snicker, snicker). I do believe I read it here on the boards (LaLa's TRs maybe? not sure). But it stuck. And I love it. And I'm now trying to phase cuss words out of my vocabulary altogether.

My newest experiment.

Duck.

I don't use the actual cuss that often (except when in REALLY bad traffic or cut off) but lemme tell you, the substitution always makes for interesting conversation.

True that. Did you come in higher than 7th?

Didn't I get fourth once? I guess if we really want to know, we can ask my DH, that man remembers everything.

Wait, I rephrase. That man remembers everything to do with movies, video games, etc. Mindless drivel that I tell him, that sort of slips through sometimes.

We will NOT ask DH.
Lest he remind me how much I royally sucked.
