That dreadful feeling of forgetting something major...

Once, during a trip to WDW, I forgot to pack underwear. Underwear are not easy to find in WDW (if they have some, I've never seen it.)

I spent all week cleaning the same underwear and my bikini, wearing them in alternance and cleaning them and trying to dry them with the hair dryer.

Also, one time I forgot to bring socks. I think it was on the Disney Dream. Luckily, I could wear my sandals most of the trip.

They have them in the gift shops at least at the deluxes. Did the same thing at WDW and bought undies at Yacht Club.

The morning of our 14-day Panama Canal cruise I realized I hadn't packed any underwear. We'd already dropped off our rental car and I had to take a $50 round trip taxi to Target.

Not cruise-related, but the worst thing I forgot was when we were traveling from Canada to the US for a 2 week motor home vacation. One of our kids has diabetes and I packed an entire medical supply suitcase but forgot blood glucose test strips. These are an ESSENTIAL item and we spent a Saturday night driving around the last town before we crossed the border, in a motor home, trying to find a pharmacy that carried them.

I was probably staying at a moderate? (Can't remember) I know I asked in a few boutiques and I could not find any in Downtown Disney. :confused3 After 2 days, I accepted my faith. LOL

p.s.: Thanks though. If it happens again, I will remember the Yacht Club.

Last week I forgot my iPad and my DH forgot his swimsuit. Thankfully I was able to get my books onto my DD's iPad and DCL sells a basic black swimsuit.

On our last day, DD realized, after I had checked our bags, that she had packed up her bra. We were headed to EPCOT and she was mortified and thought everyone was staring at her. (32 A!) I went to Mouse Gear and the clerk told me to try Yacht/Beach Club, but I was not walking over there. A boys small tank top served her well.

My friend's mom didn't bring her birth certificate. At all. Purposefully. She thought license+social security card was enough? I was trip coordinator (30+ people), and both myself and her daughter had been *very* clear with everyone what the ID requirements were (there had been a lot of questions about passports). Get to the check in counter, my family are all checked in, the rest of the group has moved past the line, it's just Friend and her cabin.

Not only did Mom not have her birth certificate, she didn't have access to it, as it was a hair past noon on a Saturday, and it was securely locked in her safety deposit box at the local bank. I was losing it.

It made me glad to sail Disney, though. They called the Highest Supervisor in the Terminal to intervene. Fortunately, her younger daughter had brought her original birth certificate, which included her mom's name on it. That+license+promise to fax the birth certificate on Monday resulted in an exception and they were allowed to board the ship.

Nightmare. I've asked all passports of my party in advance to make sure something like that doesn't happen to us.

Curious to know how customs received her when you disembarked. Our agent was little gruff about our fax copies not having a raised seal, but just rolled his eyes and let us pass.
