That Disney Magic Touch At DVC

I have a question for you Disney experts. I remember a time at Disney when they would do special tests to make sure that the Resorts were properly maintained. Examples:

Disney management would hide a penny on top of a ledge that need to be cleaned and see how many days it takes to be removed.

I distinctly remember seeing a janitor sing "zip a dee doo da" while he was vacuuming.

If Disney management saw an employee not smiling they would make a hand gesture to let the employee know so they should start smiling.

When we stayed at the Contemporary the hotel messed up our room location so they gave us free park passes for the day.

I remember seeing a team of Disney management come through a restaurant at the hotel with clipboards. They counted the amount of people in line, checked to see how full the garbage cans were and rated how dirty the floor was.

Back to my question. Does this happen at DVC resorts? What good or bad stories can you tell me at DVC resorts? Can I expect the same magic touch at DVC resorts?

On one of our recent trips to the OKW, my son and I were walking over to Olivia's for breakfast. The housekeeping vehicles were just pulling into the property, about five or six of them, each holding between eight and ten workers. Every single one of the crew (or so it seemed) gave us a big wave, a smile and a "good morning!" Sure made *my* day. :)

A few years ago, I had called Housekeeping to report that the kitchen floor and countertop in my BWV unit was sticky and that there was still the residue of wine in the wine glasses. After a few attempts to have it cleaned, the head of Housekeeping called us back and gave us free daily housekeeping for our stay. (We thanked her and refused it - but it was a very nice gesture!)

If this counts because it was quite a while ago - when arriving one time at the OKW, we had a very confusing check-in process. It was before the free passes expired, and I had booked some nights on points with passes, some nights with points but without passes, and some nights free as a referral bonus. Adding to the confusion was that some of our keys had those passes, some had charging privileges and some not. The poor CM at the desk was thoroughly confused, and after printing over 30 incorrect room keys in a *two* hour period, he finally went out back, came back to me, and said, "Oh what the heck! Here are free passes for your party for an entire day!"

That's all I can come up with on short notice. :)
