Found another interesting fact about Shanghai Disneyland....

Tickets for the park is based on a person's height....not age.

Why??? Because my fellow countrymen (I am a Chinese, but not born in China) lie about the kids' age. But you cannot lie about a kid's height.

Those taller than 1.40 meters (4.59 ft) will pay full fare.

Brilliant move, Disney. When it comes to getting the money that you deserve, you know what you are doing.

We watched and my 8 yr old asked if we could mute the narration and keep the music. The narration was disruptive and annoying. The performances were awesome. My 4 yr sat for the entire show!

watch this one then... it was the original cut, without the annoying narration. you don't need to understand what the Chinese host/hostess/actors/actresses say.

...we did not need that stupid girl giving the play-by-play. SO ANNOYING.

I thought it was good but I agree with PP in we did not really need the play by play...I think we all got the jist of it without that, lol.

Also about that girl.... yes, she was annoying

Sofia Carson left nothing to the imagination, why did she have to do a play by play.

I'm watching it now on the DVR and want to hit delete already. The narration by Sofia is annoying. Just introduce the show, say we will return after this commercial break and "now we return". Don't need to tell me the castle has wood on it and is totally decked out with jewels on it
You guys? I'm pretty sure that narration was for the blind. Of course, I'm not 100% positive, but that's exactly what it sounded like to me being so descriptive and all.

Oh, Dear Lord, yes! My 4yo son actually said "Daddy, why is she talkin' so much". With that said, watching only made me more anxious to get through the next five months and finally check in to our room at WDW.

The castle was amazing. The music outstanding. There was too much talk. Mr. Iger rambled, and the narration was a big distraction that did not blend with the ceremony and performances. Maybe it's me, but either Mickey was taller than usual, or maybe the cast was shorter than usual. I was surprised that this special was so brief, only focusing on the opening ceremony. The show ended on a disappointing note because we were all waiting to see the park...and then nothing.
