Thanksgivng Meal...thoughts ...?

We will be at the world over Thanksgiving and right now I don't have a traditional thanksgiving meal planned for that day...we are eating breakfast at Tusker House.... I know we will have plenty of quick service...is there somewhere you recommend going for Thanksgiving?

We loved Boma few years ago. It had a nice mix of Thanksgiving food and the African food.

We ate at Liberty Tree Tavern for Thanksgiving Dinner one year. There is a list on Disney's website of restaurants that will be serving the traditional Thanksgiving fare, I don't remember where to find it so I would Google it.

Agreed. I have a ressie at Trails End but have been trying to pickup a cancellation at Liberty Tree Tavern. There is not much open resort wide at this point.

I wanted to say we ate Thanksgiving dinner at Trails End last year and other than a rather long wait, the meal was great! We'd eaten brunch there previously but not dinner and we all enjoyed the Thanksgiving buffet very much. If you keep your reservation I don't think you'll be disappointed

I have a reservation at the Garden Grove at the Swan. My boyfriend made it very clear I needed to find a meal that would give him traditional Thanksgiving food on that day and from the menu it looks like it'll be really good. I would sign up for those reservation finders to get a reservation that isn't currently available.

Thought so.... we are going to AK that morning and have Bfast at Tusker early....so we could do a late lunch early dinner somewhere and even hop to MK or somewhere if we need to for dinner cause we prob wont spend all day all day at AK...
What about Columbia Harbor House...? wonder if they will have thanksgiving...
Im open to any ideas at this point

We don't have anything planned, either. We didn't want to be tied to a reservation, so I canceled everything except our breakfast at Cape May. Not sure what we will do! lol

gosh so glad Im not the only one...I hadn't even really thought about it being Thanksgiving until now...lol...It really doesn't matter to me so I really wasn't thinking of it...I can eat whaever but DH is very traditional and I just now thought to ask him...ooopppss ...lol and of course he wants Thanksgiving food

I think your best bet is sign up for a reservation finder to find some TS restaurants that are having a specific Thanksgiving meal. Someone is bound to cancel. I think I saw Jiko had an available time for dinner and they are doing some sort of Thanksgiving meal. Maybe grab that and keep looking for something else.

the only Jiko Im seeing is like 9 something pm..... but I did a reservation finder for trails end so hopefully that will work out

I bet something pops up. We plan to check the day before if we haven't decided by then. It's just not a big deal to us, though.

We loved Boma, the full buffet was there and they added on the stations with turkey and the trimmings. We couldn't try it all, we're going back for dinner to make up for what we missed at Thanksgiving lol.

Trail's End is great, but usually gets busy at Thanksgiving. They have their traditional buffet plus turkey, etc. They do take some things away, though. They were missing pizza, mac&cheese, and a couple other things plus the salad bar was smaller when we went a couple years ago. But they added in good stuff so no problem.

Boma is great for a mix of traditional and non-traditional. LOVE Garden Grove at the Swan for all traditional (plus, characters!).

You may want to call the restaurants at Swan/Dolphin - Garden Grove, bluezoo - and see if they have availability and have Thanksgiving food. It's typically easier to get reservations directly at those restaurants and the food is very good.
