We are heading to WDW the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Our last day is actually Thanksgiving Day. I know that it will be crowded that day. How is it in the morning if we do EE??? Is it crowded, but managable or just a zoo??? I don't really care about doing alot since it will be our last day. Just want to see the Christmas decorations before we leave and maybe do a few favorite rides. We were thinking of doing EE and then heading to Epcot around lunch or earlier if it gets too packed. Our we nuts??? Is it wall to wall people that morning, or just crowded??

In fact, our family did the Saturday prior to Thanksgiving and left the day after last November.

Sooooooooooooooooooo. We had no intention of going to MK on Thanksgiving Day but somehow the excitement of the morning got to us and we headed on over. We were not even there for the opening but were glad we made it before nine. You can NOT imagine the huge crowd of non-Disney property vacationers just waiting in line. We walked right in and it was fabulous.

We rode the double-decker bus down Main Street to the delight of my vehicle loving DSs. We headed to the Indy cars and rode after a short wait. We fast passed Buzz, rode Peter Pan's flight, saw Carousel of Progress, did Buzz and made it back to WL for 11 a.m. to meet DH who stayed behind to chill out.

In my opinion, MK is ALWAYS too crowded but we loved our quick hit on Thanksgiving Day. Leaving there around lunch or earlier always works for us.

We will be there Thanksgiving and avoiding MK like the plague!

Here is what I would do because you don't want to miss those decorations!

Get there for EE- do all you can before it gets too crowded. Maybe make a PS for late breakfast at CP or at the GF or CR and then monorail over to Epcot or take a bus to MGM or AK.

Where are you having dinner? we will be at Epcot that day and then Chef Mickey's for dinner.

Have a great time!!!!!

Thank you for the info. I think we will plan on being there very early for EE and then go to another park by 11am or so.

I can't make our Thanksgiving meal PS yet since they changed the PS policy yesterday. We were planning on leaving that morning and going to relatives, so I didn't make a reservation anywhere. Now, things have changed and we aren't leaving until Friday. Hopefully, at the 90 day time I can find somewhere good to eat. We usually eat Thanksgiving at noon, so was thinking/crossing my fingers I could get a PS at Whispering Canyon Cafe around 12 or 1pm. That way we can take the boat over from MK when it gets crowded.
