Thanksgiving week crowds - before and after

We'll be heading home a little earlier than normal this year (week before thanksgiving and week after.......normally just week after). Any idea on what the crowds are like:
A) Days before thanksgiving
B) Thanksgiving day
C) Weekend after thanksgiving

You will start to see a marked increase in crowds about the Tuesday of Thanksgiving week and they hang around until about the Sunday after.

My experience: Wed-Sat are busy, with the worst crowds starting on Thanksgiving. Still fun though, just plan ahead. We had ressies at LTT for Thanksgiving Day, so we made plans to stay there all day just in case they had to close the park.

Very crowded Wednesday through Saturday, starts to get a little better on Sunday. We still love going during Thanksgiving though. We stay for the week following the holiday so we hit the parks during that time instead of the holiday weekend.

We are heading to WDW for our first Thanksgiving trip this year...We are a bit afraid of the crowds but Thanksgiving will be our only opportunity to see all the decorations from now on because I am a teacher and my kids are of school age now...

A few years ago we went the Monday after...We were really shocked by the crowds that stuck around for Monday...But the crowds dropped by Tuesday and the parks were empty by Wednesday.

We were there this past Thanksgiving Week. Crowded but not as crowded as July or Easter Week. Thanksgiving Day at MK was insanely crowded! We have no choice because my boys are older now and can't miss school. We don't get a fall break anymore (which was a great time to go) because we get the whole week of Thanksgiving off now. It's not too bad if you plan right and since it's the best time for us schedule-wise we make do.

We have been 4 times at Thanksgiving. We try to arrive that Thursday or Friday the week before ...and end our trip the day after Thanksgiving. One year we flew home Thanksgiving night but I didn't like doing that. Everyone here is right.....once you hit Tuesday of Thanksgiving week....you see more and more people. However............this past Nov. the crowds were down. I think the economy had an affect on parks. We usually DON"T go to a park on Thanksgiving day or the day after. We learned our lesson on our 3rd trp......just insanely packed the day of and after. However...I would take a CROWDED TRIP TO DISNEY OVER NOT GOING. We enjoy non park days so we have no problem enjoying other things besides being at a park every day now. Have fun!!!
