Thanksgiving Waitlist..

New member here. After much discussion and much prodding by a Disney addict, we decided to pull the trigger and go into more debt. 150 pts at BWV.

Anyways, we got a 1bd at BWV between Nov 21 - 26 and are wait listed for the nights of Nov 26 - 29 at BWV and WL. After reading this board, it seems that I should get on the waitlist for each individual night instead of the entire set of dates. Is this true? Will I have a better chance of piecing the entire vacation together if I try and do this?

I too have rencently joined the DVC and will be in The World in
November 22nd to the 29th. 4 nights at OKW (so far) and three offsite at the Radisson.

I choose to have the days added to my reservation as they became available. I started out with 3 nights, and so far have gained a 4th night (tuesday 25th). But I do not have much hope
of getting more days. Which is why I have 3 days reserved at the Radisson. This is my firs trip via the DVC, and I just got a late start. Next time I will be booking earlier. I called on Aug. 24th or
so I figure I'm at the bottom of the waiting list.

I'm in the same boat.

I'm going Nov 30 - Dec 5 and I booked a one bedroom SV at 11 months and then invited my BIL and called back a week after the 11 month window to try and change it to a 2 bedroom. It was all booked up and I only got one night (Dec 2) and had to waitlist the rest. I then got 2 more nights; Dec 3 and 4. Now I'm still waiting on Nov 30 and Dec 1 and I refuse to separate them even though some have told me I'd have better luck that way. I'm afraid I'd get Nov 30 and never get Dec 1 and then I'd be moving 2 times. Meanwhile, I have the one bedroom SV for the first 2 nights for us and a studio at OKW for my BIL for those first 2 nights.

I guess it all depends on much you are willing to move around. The chance of missing days in the middle really scared me.

I'll be at BWV (or nearby) from November 25-30. I'm also playing the waiting game, because it was a resale and I was only able to book a month ago. So far, I'm only missing November 27th, but I start out in a studio preferred, switch to a one bedroom, then the mystery night, and end up in a standard studio. I have use-it-or-lose-it points, so I'm thinking I could always get a nice savannah room at AKL on Thanksgiving. In another month, people who booked Thanksgiving, just in case, might start to cancel, don't you think? I'm hoping, anyway!
Even with the moving, I'd get to experience a variety of accomodations!
