We will be in WDW for Thanksgiving.

Staying at WL...

Does Artist Point serve a traditional Thanksgiving dinner? If not, where could we go. Prefer one of the upscale restaurants. Thanks!

We ate at California Grill a few years ago on Thanksgivng day and it was very nice. And they had traditional items on the menu for the occasion.

We had Thanksgiving dinner 2009 at the WCC. DH and I thought it was ok. Our friends loved it. Perfect example of how people can see the same experience so differently. But that is one option for you.

Below is a link of all the places that had special menus. This list does not change much from year to year. You will see that AP is listed and a description of their menu.

Many TS places will serve traditional Thanksgiving fare. WE spent our first Thanksgiving at Disney this past November, and we had ressies at Le Cellier. Because we had eaten there before and experienced their steaks, we did get the Thanksgiving meal. It was pretty good. Not as good as home, but then we celebrated a week early at home.

Just a suggestion... pick you place and when your window opens up, book that ADR.. we saw people walking up at many places trying to get in and there was absolutely no availability.

We had 3 choices and was lucky enough to get our first choice.

Have fun! We loved our time so much that we are going to hopefully go back down over this Thanksgiving too.

We were a little disappointed with our dinner on Thanksgiving at Artist Point this last year.

It was a Prix Fixe menu, with three different choices for appetizer, entree and dessert.

They did have a Turkey dinner, which most of our party ordered and enjoyed. I went with the cedar plank salmon.
DD couldn't find anything she wanted with the limited menu. So our waitress brought her kids mac and cheese, even though DD is 11 and no longer a Disney kid.

Our disappointment wasn't with the food itself or our server, she was wonderful.

It was the limited choices, the fact that nobody informed us the menu was prix fixe. Not when I made the reservation, not when I had to amend the reservation, and not when they called me four days prior to make sure we still planned to dine at Artist Point. That is three times they had an opportunity to inform us of the prix fixe menu.

Also they had so many people crammed into the restaurant they had to set up temporary tables. We were seated at one of the temp tables, which was a piece of plywood on some kind of legs, covered in a tablecloth.

We did notice that Raglan Road had a special menu, in addition to the regular one.

What did they charge for the prix fixe menu?
Thinking of doing this for Thanksgiving 2011

It is not one of the upscale restaurants, but we ate at Liberty Tree Tavern in MK last Thanksgiving and it was good food. Don't expect a signature meal, but it was traditional in every sense and served family style. We had a 7:00 p.m. reservation, went to Haunted Mansion after that, got a seat for the parade and after the parade we made our way to Wishes. I thought it was a great way to spend Thanksgiving...magical mixed with traditional!

2011 pricing

New Prices Effective 11/24/2011 Adult: $69.23, Child: $23.43

Does that include tax and gratuity or is that additional? Where did you get this information?

My mom and I made our ADR's today through Wilderness Lodge IPO. My mom has the Artist Point reservation and I have the Sanaa reservation. Anyone know if Sanaa is prix fixe or traditional menu pricing?
Thanks
Debbie

Saana is traditional menu with a turkey dinner being a special. The price is normal menu pricing. I assume it has the normal holday surcharge.
