I haven't had much chance to use my camera lately so I made it a point to take some shots while preparing our Thanksgiving meal. I also used it as a way to experiment with my Vivitar screw-mount 55mm F2.8 1:1 macro lens that I don't use too often, and also to experiment with flash. Since the screw-mount naturally transfers no data to the camera (and you're shooting in M mode), you need to manually set the flash. I'm pretty happy with the results, not too shabby for a lens that cost me about $60.
Preparing the brine for the turkey...
One bird, fresh from the oven.
Playing with the macro ability a little.
Finally, one of the best things about hosting Transgiving - you get the leftovers! One of my favorites is my Thanksgiving sandwich - turkey, mashes potatoes, stuffing, and gravy on a big wheat bun! Yummmmmmmmmmm!
I hope everyone else had a good Thanksgiving and is enjoying their leftovers!
