Thanksgiving on the Fantasy?

I have a Nov '16 Western Caribbean booked on the Fantasy for 11/26.

I'm not a huge fan of the Western Carribean itinerary bc of my son's age, 6 at time of travel, and lack of excursions for that age.

Here's why I booked the Western.. To be able to spend Thanksgiving with the grandparents etc. and bc it's a very Merrytime cruise and I didn't think the thanksgiving one would have as much of a Christmas theme.

So back to my original question-
The more I look at the itineraries the more I'd rather do the Eastern. The price difference is significantly higher, and as I said above, we'd miss the family time. I realize this is always the case during a holiday, but prices have also increased on both cruises since I booked a few months ago.

Thoughts on if I should make the change?

The actual cruise over Thanksgiving will have as much Christmas themeing as any other Very MerryTime cruise. If you haven't done either cruise, I'd suggest staying with the one you have. It'll save you money, and you can book a future Eastern cruise while onboard with a discount/onboard credit.

Plus time with family is really nice.

Not on a cruise, but I've been to Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Ocho Rios- none of them in the past 10 years though. The only place out of either itinerary that I haven't been is Tortola- which looks interesting.
My son has not traveled anywhere in the Caribbean besides the Bahamas- Paradise Island and Bimini.

Do you have any suggestions for excursion companies, outside of DCL, who may have lower age limits?
