Thanksgiving Meals?

Cathy, glad you missed the storm. You'll have a great time no matter where, I'm sure.

Dh and I got an ADR at the Brown Derby (Fantasmic Package.) The plan is to eat a early dinner at 4:30 (if they don't have turkey I'll make a big turkey dinner after we get home) then go to the early Fantasmic show and go see the Osborne lights!!

I called today and got CM for Thanksgiving Day but the first poster mentioned how good the turkey was :confused3 I really wanted the buffet normally served. Does anyone know if they just add turkey to the buffet or if it is all traditional? TIA. Brenda

we are going Thanksgiving week and were wondering where everyone eats on Thanksgiving for dinner besides Liberty Tree because it is booked?? Thanks for any suggestions!

We are eating at 50's Prime Time.

Narcoosee's for us at 6:30. I wanted Whispering Canyon but couldn't get in until 7:20 (too late for the 1 y.o. in our party that night).

Everywhere outside the theme parks (except Jiko & OHanas) was completely booked for parties of 8 or more. :guilty:

Had tried earlier in the week for LTT for Turkey Day lunch, but it was booked. Today was 90 day, so they opened more tables. I got lucky and snagged an ADR for 7 at 12:10. If anyone in the group wants more turkey for dinner, they'll just have to get a turkey leg. :earboy2:

Even if you call at the 90 day +10 time. Make sure to call back on your 90 day mark for the exact day you want to make your ADRs. Since they open up more tables at the 90 day mark.

I missed Cindy's and LTT on the 90 day +10 mark. But on the exact 90 day mark I got both of them. LTT is on Thanksgiving day. Got that this morning..... so Turkey Day is only 90 days away!

We have had Thanksgiving dinner at Yacht Convention Center, Yacht Club Galley, and the Beach Club buffet. This year we got resevations at the 1900 Park Faire at Grand Floridian. We tend to lean towards the buffets, something for everyone. They always have turkey and have the most spectacular cream of pumpkin/squash soup, it tastes like liquid pumpkin pie filling (they even supply nutmeg flavored whip cream to garnish)!

Being at Disney for Thanksgiving is just awesome in itself. One year we stayed at the YC and saw three Thanksgiving Day weddings in the courtyard from our room. And then overnite, everything is magically transformed for Christmas.

We don't get ourselves "set" on having a traditional Thanksgiving dinner while we are there; can make turkey at home anytime, but we can't always spend Thanksgiving at Disney!

Cannot wait-- !

We are eating at PrimeTime 50's. We figured it would be like eating in Mom's/Grandma's kitchen on turkey day.

We want to avoid MK on Thanksgiving Day, so we are eating at LTT on the day before. For Thanksgiving Day we are eating at Chef Mickey's at 5:30. We always eat at CM on a trip so I figured why not for turkey day?

Kymberwolf, look for the Lime Green Mickey around 4:15. We have reservations at Artist Point at that time for Thanksgiving.

I called on Sunday for ressies for Turkey day at Spoodles at 4:30pm.
The PLAN:
1- Watch the Falcons on the big screen at ESPN at 12:30
2-Walk over to Spoodles at 4:15 or so and eat at Spoodles!!!

Sounds like a good plan, huh???????????

A WIN for the Falcons would be the "icing on the cake"!!!

We are considering the turkey day dinner at the Yacht Convention Center. Can you tell me how it was set up and if it felt like a warehouse or maybe a wedding reception? (Just a couple of ways I've heard it described). I thought it sounded very nice the way it's described on allears net.

Also interested in Cape May, is it all traditional thanksgiving food or do they throw any seafood in?

TIA!! :flower:

We're planning on Yacht Club Galley, I can't call for ADR's until Friday.

Hey dcgrumpy...were you ever able to get an ADR for YCG on Thanksgiving?

Just curious if they had any left. We made ours earlier in the week and will be there for an early dinner at 1:15.

Hope you had some luck!

Yes I got dinner for 10 at 6:30, which is exactly what I wanted :flower:

We just made our ADR for Cape May buffet for Thanksgiving dinner. She said they are serving traditional Thanksgiving fare along with some regular favorites! I'm really happy to hear they are offering a little bit of both. Just wanted to share!

See you on Turkey Day at The House of Mouse! :flower:

(P&PD to all of those affected by Katrina)
