Thanksgiving Meal

We just booked last week so I am trying to piece together ADRs for the Thanksgiving long weekend.

I was able to get a late lunch at Crystal Palace. Will they serve their regular buffet, or will the menu change up a bit to be more Thanksgiving-ish?

Is there a recommendation for somewhere else to try for either in MK, monorail resort or Epcot? Originally we were thinking we'd try for LTT or GG but I am betting a lot of restaurants will change up their menu.

I'm looking for Thanksgiving Day experience at CP or any recommendations for a yummy meal (characters are a plus, but not necessary...and good GF options).

Not as many change their menus as you think. They also don't announce it until much closer to the date. If you run a Google search I think you will see who did it last year.

I know that Boma consistently comes up as one that has traditional food. Also, Trail's End.

Thank you! CP had fairly "traditional" food from what I remember, but maybe I'll keep trying for LTT or GG. Do they often decorate the restaurants? Again, none of this is a deal breaker because being in Disney and not having to cook is far better, but just curious!

Hollywood and Vine will be decorated for Christmas, with the characters appearing in special outfits. I chose Tusker House this time since they are supposedly doing some Christmas-y things, too.

We were there on Thanksgiving several years ago and were surprised that most restaurants didn’t change their menu. We had lunch at Le Cellier. They did have traditional Thanksgiving meal, but it wasn’t quite what we are used to in the south. My son and his friend, 12 year olds, had steak and they enjoyed it. Enjoy your trip!

Thank you all! I don't *have* to have turkey, mashed potatoes, etc. but it would be nice to feel like a holiday meal, if that makes sense?! I mean, if we stick with Crystal Palace, maybe Pooh will have a pilgrim hat on? :tigger:

Trails End at Fort Wilderness adda turkey and ham to the fried chicken and ribs. Tasty and a boat ride from MK.

No. He won't. Sorry!

Garden Grove at the Swan is a great, "hidden" option for Thanksgiving!

I snagged a CM reservation for Thanksgiving. It says “Chef Mickey’s Fun Time Thanksgiving Dinner” in my plans so it acknowledges the holiday lol. Do they do something special? CP works better for our plans but I would change it up for a little bit of a Thanksgiving feel!!

Not in MK, Epcot or the resorts but WBG @ DS still has openings on T-Day.

Coming back to this thread! Any thoughts between Garden Grill, CM or Akershus for Thanksgiving Day meal? These all work into our plans easy enough. CM and Akershus acknowledge "Thanksgiving" in the reservation. I know Akershus traditionally serves a T-Day meal, but have never seen that CM does. But it does say "Chef Mickey Fun Time Thanksgiving". I have a GG dinner ADR and it's always Thanksgiving-ish food. We love breakfast there, but have never tried lunch/dinner. If we don't do it on Thanksgiving, we'll have breakfast there another day of our trip. Just curious if any of these three are a better choice!

50s Prime Time diner serves a blue plate special on thanksgiving that is a traditional turkey dinner. I have eaten there a few times for thanksgiving.

Thanks! We don't have plans to be in HS on Thanksgiving. We'll be in MK until early afternoon and then moving to Epcot.

I have the same question. I'm currently booked at Tusker House in AK. That's where we will be for the holiday.

I’m not sure if they will this year, but in past years Kona Cafe has offered a special Thanksgiving meal.

We have done Thanksgiving evening meal at LTT (traditional comfort food) and California Grill - not traditional food but really good. No complaints with either choice.
