What would you do if you couldn't get a thanksgiving lunch reservation ANYWHERE? I've tried aall the places serving meals. Am I stuck with counter service?

Have you tried the various resort restaurants, such as Boatwrights at POR, or Trails End buffet at FW?

Like the previous poster, I too would suggest checking Boatwright's at POR if you haven't already. They may not be booked and it's fare is the kind that one might expect on Thanksgiving, in my opinion at least. Either way, hope you find something great and have a wonderful Thanksgiving trip. :wave2:

I think someone on these boards said they made a reservation at Olivia's at OKW in the last couple weeks. And someone else said they were having Thanksgiving at Beaches and Cream-now there's my idea of a great Thanksgiving meal!

You might try Fulton's at Downtown Disney too. Good luck, I've a feeling it's going to be hard to get at this late date.

Wolfgang Puck should be having a special meal as well!

You'll be fine. Just think outside the boX! :)

Thanks guys. I always appreciate the people on these boards.

I've actually tried them all except Wolfgang Puck's. I'll get going right now & check that one.

THANKS AGAIN!!

Keep trying.

An awful lot of people make multiple reservations then cancel or don't show.

I made a reservation at Olivia's about 2 weeks ago although our party will have to be split. They did tell me that one of the restaurants at the Swan or Dolphin(I apologize but I can't think of the exact name) had plenty of availabilities at the time. The only problem for me was that they weren't on the dining plan. CALL CALL CALL! Also, check the Reservation Cancellation thread for November on here. Maybe you can get lucky and coordinate with soemeone.

Hi,

We were in the same situation a few years ago and couldn't get ressies anywhere. Someone suggested Gullivers located in the Swan. It was set up buffet style and was fine. Was it fantastic...no, but for a last minute choice it was really okay. Good Luck

I'll be cancelling a Crystal Palace lunch reservation for Thanksgiving.

If you have a car most of the nicer hotels in the area set up a huge buffet.

The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress and the Mariott World Center come to mind.

Both are only a 10 minute drive away.

Most of the restaurants have a pretty decent no show rate. The restaurant I work at averages anywhere from 10% to 30% no shows for dinner every night! Turkey Day is no exception. A lot of guests book multiple reservations (esp. for the holidays) so that always hurts when people try to book (ie. sorry, no availibility). If you don't mind waiting, they'll get you in if they can.

In early October Boatwrights was NOT serving lunch - just Breakfast and Dinner. My kid is down there and I am toying with getting alazing sent to her Cp apartment. Its expensive. I feel so bad and sad about her being alone on Turkey Day. She will probably be working at night.

Epcot-World Showplace just opened up a buffet @ $37.99pp and Diamond Horseshoe (MK) just opened up a meal for Thanksgiving.
