I don't know about AFTER Thanksgiving, but ON Thanksgiving, I will be making myself a Thanksgiving sandwich. Theres nothing better!!! A little bit of turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce and just a little bit of gravy. Of course I will have some candied yams, and potatoes on the side.
sounds gross but once i tried it i it-and the kids beg for it-
take the leftovers and make layers of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatos, both types of sweet potato casserole (marshmellow and pecan), green bean casserole and gavy (repeat if you have a deep enuf casserole dish). bake until it gets crispy and crusty.
a friend threw it together one year with my leftovers and i was surpised how well the flavors worked together in a single bite.
We aren't doing a turkey this year...(Don't ask...just not going there...But - I'm not happy.) So - no leftovers to make the turkey stock, or the tetrazzini. Maybe we can do one at Christmas.
The day after T-day, I enjoy throwing some turkey, mashed potatoes, turnips, stuffing, gravy and green bean casserole into a fry pan with some butter and fry it up all together (kind of like a goulash). Not that's fine eating at it's best. LOL
