Thanksgiving is off

I am so sorry but I am sure it is a load off your mind. We just have colds here. :::keeping fingers crossed:::

Anyway it doesn't matter as we are having a quiet family Thanksgiving. Peaceful and relaxing this year. AHHHH.

How are y'll doing? Have you been able to get any sleep? Please keep yourself hydrated!

Please keep yourself healthy. I was so busy taking care of 2 dd's & dh that I ended up in the ER being rehydrated with 2 liters of fluids & new antibiotics to ward off pneumonia. I know we have been there 2 many hours when the nurses start to recognize us.::yes::

We feel like we have finally turned the corner as our 20 month old (who's been to the ER 2x's for rehydration) told me NO in a real loud voice, OK screaming voice. She was sent to bed for quiet time as she desperately needed it ... plus my nerves were raw & I needed the quiet time too!

This virus/pneumonia has hit the Northern VA area hard & the nurses say it is much earlier than last year. Here's hoping this cold snap will make us all feel better!

Thanks for asking!

I think we are all out of the woods. DS, 6, is still sick and has sores all over inside and outside his mouth from the high (105+ temps). We all still have coughs and sinus stuff, but it sure was a nasty flu! I am so glad we didn't have to go through what you went through with the ER visits and stuff.

Take care of yourself, it can take some time to recover!

I've sent :wizard: & prayers your way. Have you been taking care of yourself? I know it's hard when our wee ones are sick ... just don't want you getting it too!

Do hope you are all starting to feel better. My 2nd round of antibiotics seems to be doing the trick for me. My x-rays in the ER showed my lungs were clear! Thank God! I can actually deep breathe now. First time in over a week. My dh says I look better.

And 21 month dd2's ear infection secondary to the virus is responding to the antibiotic.

Check out my new tags. Even the tag fairy knows it's been rough in our house.

wuvtigger, thanks for asking!

We are all definitely on the mend. DD is still sleeping longer than usual at night and during her nap, but when she is awake she is totally normal. Her personality is shining through again. She is talking and beating up on her big sister again. As wonderfully aggravating as she can be, it is great to have her "back." She is still on antibiotics for a few more days, and one last (hopefully) trip to the Dr for the post-hospitalization check up.

I love you new tag, and I can totally relate. Somehow, my DD (5ys next week) is the only one who avoided any type of sickness. I hope it stays that way!
