Thanksgiving, is it doable or too crowded?

I have never been at Thanksgiving, but just made a ressie for this year. Is it too crowded? Is it warm enough to swim? I wanted AKL for a short trip so we could enjoy the savannah view. We seem to always concentrate on MK when we stay at WL. So we may try to do more AK and Epcot this trip.

We went Thanksgiving week a few years ago. Monday and Tuesday were great - but, from Wednesday on, it was pretty bad crowd-wise. There were even long lines at the Dixie Landings food court. Two hour lines for Space Mountain. Just, awful.

But we have nice memories of our T-day dinner. Pizza and coke on a bench along the Sassagoula. The most stress-free T-day dinner, ever. :D

Avoid MK especially on T-day. Epcot wasn't that bad. Make sure you set up plans for dinners or lunch soon. It's hard to do the last minute. Weather - can be warm during the day, nights can be cool. Most of the time its fine for swimming but the weather can be tricky, so no guarantees. Try to get there a few days before T Day. I think it's stays crowded through TDay weekend and then crowds clear out Sunday.

We went the last two thanksgivings. MGM on wed. was pretty crowded. Next time we will do magic kingdom and mgm first and then epcot and animal kingdom towards the end of the week. MGM and MK seem to get more crowded towards wed, thurs.

We did it last year, staying at the Yacht Club primarily to swim in SAB. We did swim every day, but it wasn't hot. The temps were mid-to-high 70s. We ate Thanksgiving Dinner at Chefs de France.
