My family will be at Disney World for Thanksgiving and plan on spending the day at Magic Kingdom. Do you know if they do anything special to celebrate the day?

I'm not positive but I don't think so. I spent last thanksgiving at AK and they didn't do anything special.

Lots of food places offer special food menu items for Thanksgiving. The Christmas lights are up and the place looks fantastic. We opted to go to Hollywood Studios and do the Osborne Christmas Lights and get our picture made with Goofy Claus on Thanksgiving night :) It was a fun day and The 50's Prime Time Café served a turkey dinner.

Where was Goofy Claus??????

Are all the Christmas decorations up at Thanksgiving? Are all the resorts decorated? I am looking at going in December next year, but would actually move it up to Thanksgiving if everything is already decorated!

We went last year at Thanksgiving. We opted to do the Magic Kingdom too. If I could go back, I think I would pick any park but the MK. It was VERY crowded. I would probably do EPCOT (it handles crowds the best IMO).

No nothing special happens, but all the Christmas decorations are up everywhere, which is great. Many restaurants do have special Thanksgiving meals. We at Kona Cafe and had a traditional turkey dinner.

MK will always be the most crowded park on a holiday. People want to be at MK on special days.
