We've been going down the weekend before Thanksgiving the last 4 years but usually leave the Tuesday/Wednesday, this year we are staying. I know everything will be in high demand but what dinner/restaurant did you think was great or enjoy for Thanksgiving day and why?

Thanks,
Tony

Liberty Tree Tavern - I think this is the best place for Thanksgiving. Not only is it a traditional Thanksgiving Feast but having Thanksgiving in Liberty Square is just fun all around and the theming of the restaurant adds to holiday meal.

Years ago (in 2009), we had an awesome Thanksgiving meal at CRT. They had turkey and all the fixings. It was so good!

My family tried the Thanksgiving feast at Liberty Tree Tavern one year and none of us were impressed with the food. It tasted very store bought and bland. It seemed the obvious choice but I wish we had opted for something different. I've always liked LTT but this meal has put me off on it and I haven't had the desire to go back.

We've been there at Thanksgiving for the last 4 years. My favorite has been LTT. Second was Trails End. Third was HDDR. (I know it's not turkey but was good Thanksgivinglike food). Last was 50s prime time. Even though there was traditional T-giving food the portion felt tiny and the atmosphere didn't feel right to me.

My favorite so far has been Chef Mickey's...go figure! My dh doesn't like turkey, so he could get what he wanted and I was able to get my full turkey dinner. But, that was many years ago. We had dinner at Olivia's at OKW last Thanksgiving. I was underwhelmed. Now...that was probably due to our server. She was clueless. And turkey dinner was served family style....with my ds with us, that made it hard. He is a big guy and eats a lot! The first platter of food was barely enough for him and two of us!!! So my daughter-in-law and I had less than we would have normally had. When we asked for more, the second platter that was brought out was pitiful...not enough for one person!!! My dh was very happy he had something else. We were very disappointed!

We did Thanksgiving at Biergarten. Loved it. The long tables lend themselves to a big famliy style celebration. The normal buffet has some of your usual thanksgiving items already but they may have added a few special for the day.

It's our first time for Thanksgiving, too. I am pretty sure we've all settled on Garden Grill. Now we just need to decide what time! I'm so used to eating holiday meals at weird times lol.

We've been for Thanksgiving the past 2 years. The first year I got sick on Thanksgiving so we skipped our brunch at the Wave, but last year we ate at Trails End and absolutely loved it!

We were there last year for Thanksgiving. Instead of opting for the traditional Thanksgiving fare decided to go different, we did 'Ohana.

We did Be Our Guest for Thanksgiving dinner and had a great time. The food was not fantastic, but the décor is so pretty and the kids got to meet The Beast. We got the "special meal" feels doing it there.
I would recommend Fort Wilderness for Thanksgiving for the old fashioned, down home kinda thing:)

Thanks for all the recommendations. What about the higher end restaurants? California Grill, Artist Point, etc. do they do a special menu or do they stick with their regular menu.

TIA, Tony

We ate at Ohana for Thanksgiving 2015. There were 15 of us for that meal and we all loved it!

I wish I could remember more! I'm pretty sure Artist Point had a specific holiday menu and I'm also pretty sure at least one or two other signatures did also. Hopefully someone else with a better memory or first hand experience comes along :)

We did the same thing when we were on WDW over Thanksgiving. We scheduled the Luau. WE like my Thanksgiving meals, so no way would be happy with something different.
