If you could choose only five favorite foods from your Thanksgiving menu that you would love to eat almost every single day from Thanksgiving until Christmas (providing they didn't spoil), what would they be?

Mine would be:

My own stuffing (cooked in the bird)
Mashed potatoes with turkey gravy
Cranberry sauce (jellied)
Broccoli & cauliflower in cheese sauce
Pumpkin pie
-------------

How about you?
:)

1. Turkey (breast)
2. Mashed potatoes
3. Broccoli casserole
4. My MIL's southern green beans
5. Lemon icebox pie

1. My own stuffing out of the bird
2. Mashed potatoes
3. Green bean casserole (made from scratch--no cans of soup in it)
4. Turkey (dark meat)
5. Orange and pecan yam casserole

turkey breast
mashed potatoes
stuffing
gravy
*real* pumpkin pumpkin pie

Really don't need anything other than that, and eat very little other than that even though Mom always has about 287 different dishes on the table.

I would love that recipe if you are willing to share. Please!

1. turkey and gravy (homemade)
2. dinner rolls w/ real butter
3. green bean casserole
4. mashed potatoes
5. apple crisp

1. My holiday potato casserole
2. Bourbon sweet potatoes
3. My stuffing
4. My make ahead gravy
5. My homemade rolls

:)

1. Mashed potatoes w/gravy
2. "Green bean casserole" I use an alternate recipe, though, with roasted fresh green beans, onions, mushrooms, and topped with a bacon crunch (not the Campbells version but Whoa good!)
3. corn (either fresh on the cob or out of a steamer bag) drenched in butter
4. Stuffing drenched in gravy
5. Pumpkin & swirled cheescake bars w/a gingersnap crust

I actually do not like traditional Thanksgiving food. My parents have Thanksgiving at their house and my mom always makes lasagna for me. Well, and other people; I can't eat an entire lasagna. LOL But as for the original question, I could eat lasagna every day.

Mine would be

Turkey, dark meat, preferably

Mashed potatoes, with turkey gravy

My great grandmothers french dressing (stuffing made with pork , mashed potatoes, ground beef, celery salt, black pepper)

sauteed brussels sprouts with bacon

blueberry cream cheese pie

Thanks C.Ann..now my mouth is watering and I can't wait for Turkey Day..lol

1. My stuffing out of the bird
2. Real turkey gravy
3. Homemade onion dip with fresh mushrooms
4. Beef & noodles with my homemade noodles
5. Everyone else, turkey. Not me

We cheated though and already had Thanksgiving so we are already eating leftovers. DS just came home from deployment and we don't know where he's going for his new assignment. Probably DC for more training.

1. Turkey (white meat)
2. Whipped sweet potatoes
3. The carrot orange soup we have as an appetizer
4. Flaky layers biscuits
5. Apple pie with salted caramel sauce

LOL..

I was just going to ask if anyone was getting hungry yet.. Sorry..
:guilty:

If you happen to pop in again, could you tell me what this is?

Thanks..:)

Here you go:

1 (14-ounce) can condensed milk
1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoons lemon zest
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 prepared graham cracker crust

Directions
Combine the cream cheese, milk, lemon juice, lemon zest, and vanilla in a large bowl. Mix on medium speed until smooth. Pour into the pie crust. Refrigerate overnight.

I thought that might be the recipe. My kids call it Gramma's cheesecake and it is the only kind they will. No holiday is complete without it!

I'm normally not a fan of traditional Thanksgiving food, but I don't have to host the family dinner, so I eat it and don't complain. ;)

1. My Cranberry-Raspberry Jell-O Mold
2. The only turkey I ever liked was when my brother brined it.
3. My Mom's Stuffing
4. My Mom's Scalloped Oysters.
Can't even think of a #5.

Turkey
homemade cranberry sauce
my mom's broccoli casserole

mashed potatoes
pumpkin pie (homemade...never store bought!!)

White meat turkey with gravy
Sweet potatoes (any style)
Mashed potatoes with gravy
Stuffing (has to have sausage in it)
Pumpkin pie

Hmm...no real veggies...:lmao:

1. Turkey
2. Stuffing
3. Mashed Potatos
4. Jellied Cranberry Sauce
5. Soft Dinner Rolls
