Thanksgiving desserts~ What are you making/serving?

My contribution will be Death by Chocolate. It's gotten to be a tradition and I've been told that I will be turned away from Mammaw's Thanksgiving feast if I don't bring it. ;)

There will also be about 20 other desserts there I'm sure.
Big family.

DH is my baker and he's a good one too! Good thing because you could use my baking as lethal weapons I'm sure. lol He's making me a yellow cake with chocolate frosting and a middle layer of raspberry.

pumpkin pie

carmel apple cheesecake

cookies????

I am making 2 coconut pies and 2 chocolate pies. Mrs. Smith was kind enough to make me an apple pie so that I only have to put it in the oven. I'm also fixing some brownies and I ordered a homemade pumpkin roll from a lady here at work that sells baked goods on holidays (I think I may be the only 1 that eats pumpkin though, it's so yummy!). I think my SIL is bringing some cookies as well.

Apple pie, Cheesecake, and peanut butter pie. All that for 6 of us.....
We're going to be eating leftovers until Easter.

Peanut Butter Pie  You wouldnt happen to have a recipe would ya? :bitelip: :bitelip:

I made pumpkin pie a couple hours ago and that's all we're having...there's only 4 of us, no need for a lot of desserts. I've had too much sugar anyway, waist is back up to 35 inches...needs to be 32 again! I'm fixing my turkey tomorrow night when I get home and that will allow my oven to be free for the bread on t-day. Once bread is done, I can put turkey back into oven and hold it on warm til company arrives. :teeth:

DW is from the Dominican Republic and makes the BEST flan. My whole family can't wait for the holidays for just this reason. It's better than her mother's, but shhhhhhh, we don't tell MIL that. :rolleyes1

I'm making a flan too, for the 1st time. My kids picked it out based on a picture in the All Recipes cookbook. http://dessert.allrecipes.com/az/CrmyCrmlFln.asp
If it doesn't work out, Mrs. Smith has got my back... ;)

I volunteered for the Lemon Meringue pie. It's everybody's favorite and my mom just isn't up for it this year. I'm a little nervous because I've only made one twice before and one time the lemon was runny, although I doubt anyone would mind. :flower:

I am making my chocolate Kahlua pound cake and pumpkin pie. My husband would rather eat a bug than anything w/ pumpkin so the chocolate is for him :)

pumpkin pie
pumpkin mousse stuff- Weight Watchers, but to die for!
ordered these too cute tiny apple pies from a local French Restaurant, hope they taste as good as they look!

Pumpkin ginger bread trifle that was on Paula Deen's show. Only I'll use home made whipped cream instead of cool whip.

Chocolate Pecan Pie from Emril's show, and I bought an edible arrangements to bring to my niece's house so we'll have plenty to choose from.

Can you tell I've been watching the food network too much?

Will this be enough dessert for 12 people, or should I make something else? and if so what do you recommend?

That sounds like enough to me. There will be 10 of us tomorrow and we are having 3 desserts, which are always MORE than enough.

So many yummy desserts! :cloud9: :cloud9:

I'm making pumpkin pie, apple crumb pie and a chocolate cream pie and some brownies!

A friend of mine is making a cheesecake for us. Her cheesecake is delicious and no matter how hard I try I just can't get it right! :rotfl:

There will be 12 of us for dinner!
