Which one or two parks are the best bet for Thanksgiving day? We're thinking MK (early entry) in a.m. and then Epcot WS in p.m.

Are the crowds unbelievable that day? (we've only ever gone in the summer) Would be be better off to take that day by the resort pool?

Thanks!

We spent Thanksgiving day in AK one year, and the next year in Epcot. Crowds not bad in either park on that day. I would do as you planned- early entry at MK, then move over to one of the other parks by noon, or skip MK that day if you have another day to spend there. It will get crowded as the day goes on.:D

The crowds were pretty intense this past Thanksgiving. We finished a Disney cruise that morning and headed to Epcot immediately after checking in to CBR. By the time we arrived at about 10:45 a.m. posted standby times for MS and TT were 100 minutes and 90 minutes, respectively, and return times for TT FastPasses were for 6:00 p.m. We got a 2:00 p.m. FP for MS (and a bonus FP for HISTA) and got in the standby line for TT. We wound up waiting for ONLY and hour, but by 11:15 a.m. TT FastPasses were gone for the entire day.

As far as WS goes, we walked over to China for lunch at about noon and you could barely walk in front of the pyramid in Mexico. It was even more crowded on our way BACK through out.

We didn't go to the MK, but heard reports that it was a madhouse.

We were in WDW this past Thanksgiving... and just to let you know they switched the EMH for MK and Epcot (Wed and Thurs.) just before we left. The advice we had heard was to avoid MK if possible. We did, so I can't tell you if it was busy! We had gone earlier in the week. We went to Epcot for the Morning and Evening. Seemed fine in the morning; the evening seem crowded.

I hope this helps.

Turkey day 2002 we were in Magic Kingdom from about 5pm on. Went on Splash Mountain 4 times in a row with out having to get off, no lines any where but that might have been becasue it was a little chilly. Thanksgiving is a great time at WDW. going again this year. Crowded is in the eye of the beholder.
