LOL, not for me this year, but yeah, people eat 'til they about bust in our house. Then a nice long walk with the dog and kids to try to get it all digested!
We don't really dress up for either holiday. Usually just jeans and a nice top. Some of my cousins dress up, but most of us dress pretty casual....noone wears sweats or anything like that though.
I do a turkey trot in the morning and then go right to grandma's. I shower there and then put on the wind pants and shirt I usually wear over my running stuff on the way to the run. We are a pretty laid back family, no one cares what anyone else wears.
We've always gone dressy casual as well. Generally a nice sweater and skirt on the girls and button down shirts and slacks on the boys.
We go more formal for Christmas Eve (when we do church and dinner out) with jackets and ties on the boys and dressier skirts and tops or dresses on the girls. Christmas Day we stay in jammies all day unless the weather provides a chance to put on teh snow clothes and play.
Jeans and tees on both Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. We dress up - dresses for the women, suits for the men on Christmas Eve. We go to mass and then back to BIL's house for dinner and exhanging presents.
Nice casual for us. I'm in it for the meal more than anything. We have some extra company this year so I guess I'll wear nice shorts and a collared shirt.
We'll be in New York for Christmas this year so I'm going with whatever is warm (no shorts).
They are lucky if I change out of my pajamas on either holiday...and that goes for everyone who will be there. Though BIL brought his fashionista girlfriend, so it'll be interesting to see what she puts on tomorrow AND her reaction to our jeans and tee-shirts.
