Thanksgiving Attire

I'll be wearing my christmas mickey pjs.

We are there with you. It is just the four of us so we make this really nice dinner all while in our pjs. We never change out of them unless we spill something. I have been known to where my giant sleeper on occasion. :rotfl:

I just wear a good pair of jeans and a nice shirt.

I'm a pants kinda girl.

Sorry to go off topic, but what did you ever decide to do then for Thanksgiving dinner (I followed your other thread)?

I just updated that one right after I posted the above! We split the diff...ordered turkey and the stuffing and desserts, MIL still making a couple of dishes.

I just went a tad nuts at The Loft the other day lol, so I will be wearing a cute new outfit from there, but nothing to fancy and comfy shoes. We always take a stroll around the neighborhood with the kiddos , have to be comfy for that!
Thinking I will put DS7 in jeans and a new fall plaid Ralph Lauren long sleeve I got off ebay a few weeks ago. I always try to put him in something fallish for Thanksgiving due to the amount of pictures we take lol. I hope to snap a good one for xmas cards.

Christmas day is usually jeans , Christmas Eve is dress etc because we go to church, but then in pjs for games and snacks till bed.

For us it depends on where we are going to be. If we are at DBF's parents we dress a little nicer, I try to wear a nice skirt/sweater combo, he wears a sweater/slack outfit and the girls wear skirts/dresses. If we are my Mom's we are in jeans and sweaters, if we are at home we may lounge in pj's until we go out for dinner. If it's just the 4 of us I don't cook.....we go out. :) This year we will be in jeans and sweatshirts and eating at the Jazz Kitchen. :) Just about 26 hours now! :)

My grandmother would rise from the grace and kill us all if we ever wore casual clothes to the dining room table.

When I was a kid, I was not even allowed to take my shoes off until well after dinner....in my own house!

We dress for everything. My BIL was raised the same, but not my DH. He HATES wearing a tie and fights about it every holiday. 20 years and 100 holidays later, he still fights for 20 minutes, then puts it on. Ive asked him for the past 19 years if we could skip the argument and just get to the part wear he puts the tie on :lmao:

We will all be casual. There should be a lot ot Longhorn tees on for the game against A&M.

Christmas is, also, casual. Christmas Eve is dressy for church.

We do mostly dressy casual. DH wears Jeans and nice sweater or shirt.

We are a casual family and dress pretty casual for Thanksgiving.

When my kids were in preschool, they came home and said the teacher had asked how many people were getting dressing up for Thanksgiving and my kids were AMAZED that so many of their classmates raised their hands.

Then my daughter asked me "What do they dress up as... pilgrims?"

It took everything in me not to laugh.

 Dispor, my kids have been known to wear Pilgrim hats make out of construction paper.

We don't really dress up, but we do wear clothes that are clean and decent. No jammies, no shorts, no ratty jeans. I wear my brown turtleneck with the autumn leaves on it.

We typically only get dressed up for Christmas and Easter. It's casual dressy- typically skirts, nice pants, etc.

We dress for church, but no one stays dressed up for meals or visiting - it's usually jeans. Personally, I don't like to cook and do dishes in my nicer clothes. We don't have a church service tomorrow so there will be no dressing up.

I wear my "teacher" clothes so sort of nice. The DH and boys wear khakis and button shirts.
