Thanksgiving at HH

My family and I are dreaming of spending thanksgiving at HH. But alas it is booked up. If anyone decides to cancel or a way to get an open room let me know. Thanks

Just fyi...I received the list of activities plus the Thanksgiving meal menu from HHI over the weekend.

One question I have for those who have been to HHI for Thanksgiving in the past and ordered the meal from the resort. The order form says it will be delivered between certain hours but when is the turkey bowl football game? I'd hate to miss it while waiting on food to arrive.

PJ -- You don't need to be there to wait for the food. They will just leave it on your island or the table. It is awesome to come back to your unit and have the whole place smelling like turkey. I think we will actually order one from the resort this year since we won't have room in our van to bring all our groceries, like we usually do. The smell of deep frying turkeys is just absolutely mouth-watering!

I was so excited to receive the list of activities and the menu in the mail yesterday. DS has already told me he wants to do the teen's night out so that will be the night DH and I have our anniversary dinner. Some of the other activities sound like fun so we'll be sure to sign up for them.

I would love to order the turkey meal but since DH and I are low carbing, I just can't imagine having turkey without mash potatoes and all the other yummy sides so I'm making shrimp alfredo over whole wheat pasta for dinner. I hope the smell of all those turkeys doesn't drive me insane! Anyone ever see the episode of the Munsters where Herman is trying to fit into his old army uniform for a reunion and he's on a strict diet around Thanksgiving? That might be me peering into different villas as families enjoy their turkey dinners!

Of course, if you start knocking on every door until you find us you might worry some of the other guests.

Be sure to check the DVC Community Board for meet info! Then you'll be able to make arrangements for ZerasPride to find you so she won't have to knock on all those doors on Thursday!
