Thanksgiving is one of the busiest times at WDW.. That whole week is 7's and 8's on my crowd calendar. However the weather will be pleasant.
Good Luck!
I was told the Fri, Sat and Sun after Thanksgiving was one of the most crowded times to go, but that the few days before Thanksgiving was not bad. Is this wrong? Cause I just booked my trip and took special pains to make sure we were driving home the day before Thanksgiving so as to avoid the crowds.
Darn, I was hoping they weren't going to be that crowded. Is it alot worse than July because I thought that would be a really busy time. Im trying to plan so that the kids won't have to miss much school but I don't know now Im scared of the July heat
It was our opinion that crowds were no worse than summer - we arrived late on Wednesday night and stayed until the Tuesday after Tgiving. We were able to see the Candlelight Processional, do a MVMCP, and see the Osborne Lights. It was so worth it! The crowds really started to thin out on Sunday and Monday.
The weather was pleasant but we did have one really cold evening - it was freezing! You do need to pack for extremes.
We are going for the first time during Thanksgiving week. We always go during spring break, end of March-beginning of April. I assumed that the two times of year are equally crowded. Should I expect worse during turkey week?

my son who worked the CP last spring/summer went over Turkey day last fall and reported that it really was pretty good crowd wise. They went from the friday before to the friday just after Thanksgiving.
Thanks so much everyone for the replies. We will probably go ahead and go for Thanksgiving. Does anyone know if they do anything special at the parks or anything for Thanksgiving? Is Orlando in November pretty cold or warm? I'm from Ohio it's usually really chilly here then
We go every T'giving and that is our favorite time of year to go! You can't really predict what the weather will be like--there have been trips where we worn sweatshirts and nearly froze, and there have been trips where we wore shorts and tanks and burned.
We have always found the crowds to be fairly low (in comparison to other trips) until about mid-day Wed and the crowds starts to really get heavy. Just takes a bit of planning and ADRs waaaay in advance.
