We have done several Thanksgiving week trips...last one was two years ago...and we love it during that time. Of course, we loved the Osbourne Lights and now we'll be missing those. Hoping that ROL is open by that time which sounds highly likely. We arrive the weekend before Thanksgiving which is busy but not nearly as bad as Wed, Thurs and Friday. DH would love to avoid the parks for Thanksgiving but there is just something about spending Thanksgiving morning in the Magic Kingdom that is....well....magical. We got EARLY (I think they tend to open before 8am that day) and by lunchtime we have to escape due to wall-to-wall people and just crowd madness.
Dinner for us will be Boma, a repeat of our 2014 Thanksgiving Dinner as they had hand-carved turkey there and some traditional items. I've yet to live down the Thanksgiving 2007 dinner we had at Concourse Steakhouse in the Contemporary with my family where they served us all what was likely a processed slice of turkey...NOT GOOD. I've assured my mom (who was with us for that 2007 trip but not the recent ones) that Boma WILL BE BETTER! We've also done dinner at Turf Club in the past which was also good...but I don't think any of us had turkey for that meal...it was beef or fish.
We will have two small boys, my nephews, as part of our group that week visiting Disney for the very first time so hoping it will be a great trip for them!

, and I didn't get any email reminder from WDW saying I need to make my final payment.
I had the day marked in my calendar so I wouldn't forget, but if I didn't do that and it slipped my mind, my FD reservation would have been gone. I wonder why I didn't get any emails??
