Thanksgiving 2008 BOOKED??

Ok, I just called to make reservations for Thanksgiving week 2008....the rooms just opened up recently. The girl said NOTHING is available at the GF or Poly except for suites for the Wed-Sun of Thanksgiving??? She said that they think there may be a convention? Is this even possible? I mean, thats crazy that NO rooms are available? Is it possible they just haven't released them until the packages? We really had our heart set on the GF, but at a regular room, not $1000+/night for a suite. Any ideas if hopefully something would open up?

Are you sure she was looking at 2008? I'd call back and try again, just in case she was looking at 2007 by mistake.

Nope, it was 2008. I called twice. I was able to get any type of room at the Boardwalk. Not sure whats going on at GF and Poly. Has anyone else booked over Thanksgiving yet? I'm going to try again when the packages come out...hopefully soon!

call after this year Thankgiving.

they seem to release the suites first. then the preferred, and finally the standard ones.

and no they aren't sold out.

Interesting....I was looking at the codes and rates board, and someone mentioned that folks in the UK are now able to book 2008 packages. So, I went to the link, and sure enough....GF has all room categories available to book. So I wonder why it is that we can't even book a room only yet?
