Thanksgiving 2007!!!

Hi All,

We, too, had a wonderful trip and enjoyed meeting everyone. I am glad everyone made it home safely. My kids are really sad, though. Charlie and Maddie met some wonderful new friends and miss having the run of the ship. I miss the bed, best 7-nights of sleep in a long time (no back aches).

Hopefully we will see you all on the 11/09 cruise.

Take care and keep in touch.

I'm still swaying too!!

We didn't attend the character breakfast this year. I would definitely recommend the Palo brunch over the character breakfast!! :thumbsup2

It's great to hear from everyone!! However, I wish we were all still on the Magic!! :thumbsup2

Hi everyone,

Count us in for '09!

We got home late yesterday afternoon after driving through solid rain from Chatanooga to St. Louis...I sure do hope that some of this rain makes it to Atlanta. We drove by one of the lakes just north of Atlanta and the thing was near bone dry :scared1: !

Steve took off for Louisville this morning...I leave for California next week and then he's gone somewhere the week following....unfortunately, it's normal for us!

It was great to meet all of you. Linda, thanks for the mini-navigators....it sure helped us to find all of the Fish Extenders! Chuck, we appreciate your guidance and suggestions...it definitely made the Magic even more magical!

So...who's gonna post pictures? I know I need to go through the several hundred I took and I know that I need to send some of them off to others.

Is there an '09 thread started yet? If so, I think we can definitely get it up above 3500 in no time.

By the way Gina, I hope your family made it home smoothly. We were thinking about you and your dad. I hope you all had a wonderful time (with lots of great memories).

OK...now to sort through the 5 tons of e-mail...yuck! I guess I have to be productive today though!

By the way, we are all still swaying too. I even wrote Andrew an "excuse from PE note" because when we cruised 2 years ago, the day after the cruise he tripped in PE and broke his arm because he didn't have land legs yet. Yep, that one wins the BAD MOM award!

Did someone say we needed a new thread? well...i just started one...and then noticed Karen did the same...oh well pick one...

We booked a dummy cruise while on board and are now looking into doing an eastern the week of March 15-22. Any turkeys interested?

Well, we made it home late last night. It looks like a tornado hit my bedroom. I have two dummy dates booked for 2008 that I am planning on moving to 2009 once they open up and announce the itineraries.

Had a great time. It was a real relaxing cruise for me. Glad to me so many of you. My daughter and her friend had a great time in the teen loft all week.

Now, back to reality!

We stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge in the 2 bedroom DVC condo on Saturday night. It was awesome, saw lots of animals right from our verandah, but I was disappointed there was no chocolate on my pillow!

Hi gang! We got back late this afternoon. We went to WDW Saturday and Sunday. We rebooked on board with a dummy date for now. Logan and my nephew made a ton of friends at The Stack, and lots of them are rebooking for Thanksgiving 2009, so it may be a possibility for us!

It was wonderful meeting so many of you during the cruise. Leah and her cousin Amberly were thrilled to get so many great things in their fish extenders. Thanks!!!

Sorry to beat you to it Chuck, but I thought why not....I'm not a newbie anymore!

Glad to hear that all are safe and well. Tonight is :laundy: night for me...yuck!

Karen

well we need to combine the two threads for 2009...i really dont care which one we use....the dates should formally be announced w/in next week or so and we will collectively need to make those phantom bookings real..

Hi Everyone - What a fabulous trip we had!!!

I wanted to post earlier but when I returned home I found out that we had several power outages and it blew the hard drive of my main PC. It is in the shop, so I finally booted up the lap top and logged on.

I really enjoyed meeting everyone and you all made me and my family feel very welcome. My kids did not want to leave, and my DD5 was crying when we landed in California Saturday night because she really missed Toney, our Server at dinner every night.

I wish I had a chance to hang with the Dissers more, but we were on the early dinner seating, which meant we were on different times than most of you. In addition, the time change and travel really killed us this time (usually not a problem), plus my whole family was a little under the weather due to sinus issues (we all get allergies this time of year). So some nights we turned in early, and most mornings we slept in a bit, but could never really catch up. Anyway, we were just spinning with all of the things to do, it was just non-stop. We missed so much stuff, including the pirate deck party, we just have to get back one of these days. We loved the service, the shows were all great, and all of the crew members were as nice as can be. We paid about twice as much for this cruise as we would have for Carnival or RCL, but all of the little touches made it well woth the mony we spent!!! We even came in under budget on the spending money and trip costs, so i am happy:banana: (of course I am not counting in the rooms I put a deposit on for a future cruise as well as the new Brito I bought at the Art Auction - but those weren't budgeted items anyway;) )

We could not have ben more pleased with our trip and we felt very lucky with the weather overall, so all in all, this trip ranks at the top of our list for vacations. The only thing that could have made it better was if we could have stayed on board and went for the Eastern trip back to back - that would have ben fantastic!!!:thumbsup2

Frank

Glad you enjoyed it Frank, and you seem to have run into us at least quite a few times...:)...we always take the late seating b/c it is much easier to handle with excursions.

I am still doing laundry and trying to recover frrom the trip!:laundy: It was so much fun meeting everyone on the Magic and my kids had a blast. It really is one of the most memorable vacations I have ever took. It was also the first time we have done something like this with my BIL's family and that made it special too. I have been so unprepared for the emotional let down of being home.:sad1: :sad1: :sad1: As much as we love the parks, (we will go there next but will cruise again) it has never been as personal as taking a cruise has been. I have enjoyed getting to know the Turkey's and am sad that we are not on the 2009 list, and I miss the crew onboard as well. I need to get up the Christmas Tree or this could turn onto a real funk. I hope a thread is kept going somewhere so we can keep up with each other.

You're speaking my emotions as well. The cruise definitely has a more 'personal' feel to it. We'll continue to stay in touch.:) Did your family book another cruise? (Even though it's not Thanksgiving 09?)

Hi Everybody. Miss you like crazy!!!!!! For some reason I can not find deck nine at our house. Only deck 1 and 2. Which means that I am now in charge of room service, laundry, and making all the beds. I refuse to put candy on their pillows!!!
Priscilla When is your spring break???

Hi all,

Entire house is a mess....laundry everywhere and all the videos, etc. from the trip home are stacked around the living/dining room. Steve's in Louisville and life is back to normal.....:sad1:

This weekend will be clearing the decks (we have decks 1 - 3) so that I can begin with all the Christmas stuff...:scared1:

Miss you all!
