We have just returned from another great stay in Dl. And once again we put to use all the various tips we gleaned from this board. So thanks for all your contributions.

I also would like to say how impressed we were with the GC. This trip had us travelling to a lot of places, and the GC was the best hotel of the trip.

We also really appreciated Disney service on this trip. Last year my daughter won a dream lanyard. On this trip, the special pin broke. We took it to Town hall and they replaced it right away. We also received Dream FPS (by the petrified tree) - and Town hall happily provided a fourth when they found they only had three left.

On Dream FPS - looks like the policy has changed here - we were told we could use them longer than just on the issued day, and so that's what we did. This is a great change ( i have to admit to having won them before and we nearly killed ourselves finishing them).

All in all a great trip, so thanks to the Disboard team.

Oh I'm so glad to hear you had a good trip. And I am especially glad to hear about the GC because DH and I are having our second honeymoon in September and after much thought have decided to stay at the GC. I am figuring that I may ask for a DTD view when I make our final reservations. We were dreamed in March 2007. We got Lanyards and I consider them very special. This year I would love to get dreamed again and get the fastpass. Not that I would turn down the suite either.

Glad to hear you had a great time. I'm also glad to hear they changed the dream FP's policy. We won them last year, and it was a lot of work trying to get them all used up in one day!

We got the dream FP on our trip but we were not told you could use them longer than the date issued. The wording on the FP still says they must be used on that day and we were in City Hall many times and no one ever mentioned that to us. I would make sure that was the case before saving some rides for another day. Had I known, it would have saved us a lot of trouble!

It seems they have changed the policy after last year- when we went to the town hall to pick up the one extra Fp needed, the dream team member assured us that though they were date stamped, you could use them throughout your stay, which we did. One castmember did query us, but we explained and he was fine. No one else queried it at all. If you should win one, just enquire of the DT member - you'll be fine.

I should mention though that they are still like hawks regarding them being passed on in any way though. A couple in front of us tried to use one half of the pass (the DCA pass) to get into soaring - they told the Cm that they had been 'given' it. I think the pass was confiscated - the CMs were really grilling them! Also they will not accept just the little piece - you must present the whole pass- we saw that attempted too! So long as you are the actual recipient, and you are using them as intended, theere is no date problem.

So - if you do win one - relax - you have plenty of time!
