We've learned so much from all of you & purchased 210 pts at BCV (over phone). We took 7 free nites (love the POLY) but now see on paperwork that we can't make ressies for these 7 nites until 7 months in advance. We MUST go end of June 2003.Will we have trouble getting ressies?

Also, papers include option to bank pts now (March Use Year). If I do bank them, how long are they good? Sorry-having trouble comprehending the MMBR GuideBook!

Should I call our guide and change to $5 off incentive instead? Hope someone can help...MS not open until Monday and I won't be able to phone them until 4:30pm!!!

I'm not familiar with the details of the free stays, so I can't help you there but I'm sure someone will have an idea.

As for banking points...If you have a March Use Year then the points you just bought -- March 2002 -- are good for trips you take by February 28, 2003. If you "bank" them, they become good to use for trips you take between March 2003 and February 28, 2004.

With a March use year, your 2002 points will be good for stays from March 1, 2002 to February 28, 2003. If you bank them, they will be good from March 1, 2003 to February 28, 2004. Once you bank them, you can't change your mind and bring them back to 2002. If you are not going before June 2003, then you need to bank them.

With 210 points, $5 per point would save you $1,050. 7 nights would be costing you $150 per night.

Thanks for the info! And so quickly, too!

But...We're still confused why we must wait til 7 months out to make comp. ressies? Thought we saw other posts which said, "we just closed...making our ressies for our comp stays now". Of course, we could just be delirious by this point...trying to learn all the new lingo is like a crash course in a Berlitz language school!!! You'd think after 30 (YEP! 30 !!!) years of going to WDW, I'd be an expert at everything by now!

Amyway, it is all worth it. Can't wait to mail back the signed papers tomorrow!

They probably are making their reservation now for a date between now and November 2002 (which is 7 months from now). If someone wants a reservation beyond the 7 months, they have to wait.
