Thanks to the snow plowers

If any of you have friends or family who do salting, sanding and snow plowing, please say thanks for me.

As bad and endless as this winter has been, our streets have been kept remarkably clear and driveable.

I know that can't be an easy job, and I hope those folks know that they are appreciated.

Every time I see a snow plow driver, I say a prayer of thanks. It can't be easy keeping the roads clear, and I appreciate their efforts.

As the wife of a snowplower you very rarely see them the kids wonder if they've come home or still gone. But yet wave crazzily at every truck cause they do what daddy does. Your a single parent for too many nights in the middle of winter when the kids are sick. But you send them out for everystorm just so others are safe. Thats what they do.

Also please watch out for these guys the trucks are big with limmited view and many nights they are passed by some person who thinks they're invincible only to have to call them in off the road in a couple of miles. they also work extremely long shifts and are tired.

Thank you. I will tell my husband. He works for the town Highway Dept. Too often people come out of their houses to yell at them for blocking mailboxes, etc. It is nice for them to be appreciated.

tiggereyore, thanks for noting that. My husband left for work at 6:30 yesterday morning and will not be home until his day ends today. It is tough to explain to a 20 month old why Daddy isn't home when she goes to bed and why he is not there when she wakes up. She doesn't get that he has to work all night.
