I arrived at MCO at 1230am on 9/30/05 and just missed the Mears transportation bus (I was staying at the Dolphin). I was told by Mears that the next bus would not be back to pick me up until 3am. Well, one of the Magical Express greeters overheard this and asked me how many were in my party - I told him it was just me. He got on his headset and the next thing I know, he handed me a ME voucher and pointed me to the ME bus and said they would pick me up from The Dolphin and return me to the airport. No charge. :earseek:

good to hear.... we are using ME next week but at 9 30 am... going home will be 3pm....

Forget Starbucks - I think they found a way to percolate pixie dust - they are WAY beyond perky. They are a credit to all CMs who deal with all "kinds" of guests.......
 
I am the type of person who is always paranoid so I tend to confirm and reconfirm anything I book. After getting my tickets I called every number I know the 800 number(CM Joe), 407-934-7639 (CM Rachel), ASMu (CM Colleen) and 407-939-3463 ( CM JAKA ) and explain to each and everyone of them that I am doing the ME and just want to make sure I am all set. Gave them all the information about my flight (United but being operated by US Airways and YES this was also explained to them and again each and everyone of them answered "Don't worry they take United and US Airways and almost everything that comes in from MCO, so you are FINE to do the hotel/lobby check in). My flight out of MCO was 12NN and the ME express pick up was 9:25AM plus a couple more stops before you hit the airport ( so hit or miss taking the ME at 9:25AM yo can be at the airport the latest would be 10:30AM which would not be a problem IF your luggage are checked in already). Also in all this chaos this is our 1st time to fly since 94 so YES we are paranoid and restless about it. So at 6AM (which was the time stated to check in our luggage at the lobby) we waited cheerfully only to find out WE CANNOT check in our luggage since they onlu do United, and technically we are united but since it is being operated by US Airways they told us no. After a long debate they told us yes you can take ME but you need to check in at the airport. Not wanting to experience any delay we asked if we can board the ME earlier. CM explained that we can ask the driver if he/she can accomodate us since they already have a head count. Around 8AM the ME bus driver explained she don't have room for us. We are chance passengers we should be patient. I finally said OK will take our chance and wait for our desiganted time. And then the bus driver said well since you are not checked in on the lobby you might be chance passengers too on the bus. That was my final straw. I am not taking a chance in being stuck in a long line in checking in...missing our flight... and getting more frustrated.... grab the 1st taxi and off to MCO. Which was a good thing since a flight was bumped to join our flight which took us a good amout of time to check in. After checking in went to see the manager on duty of ME at MCO and explained to him that we took the taxi etc..etc..etc.. all he can say was where's your receipt. I was not asking for compensation I just want him to correct the mistake so nobody would experience what we went through. And only when I mentioned that I am NOT ASKING for COMPENSATION SIR! Was the time HE ask me when this happend where it happend and what time did it happend and asked my name and with a big sigh " yes I will get to the bottom of this". There... that was my experience with the Magical Express... express.. it was so fast I should have not blinked! :earseek:

So please check your flight carrier. The don't recognize US Airways. ME would take you from the airport to hotel and hotel to airport but if you need time in checking in luggages make arrangement prior to departure day.
