Here's my letter I just sent out to WDW Guest Communications on Saturday from my last three visits!
Dear Walt Disney World Resort:
Hello, my name is Jessica! I am glad to be sending you this letter as recognition of great work from the cast members at the Walt Disney World Resort! I have made three trips since the last letter I wrote back in October 2004 about my 20th birthday trip in August 2004. As you can tell Im not the greatest at sending out letters to you quickly.
In light of my two little cousins Alexa (7) and Morgan(4), along with my aunt and uncle coming down for their first visit to Disney World in November 2004. I made a little welcome bag for them when they arrived at the Pop Century Resort on November 16th. I was very happy Ronnie at the Front Desk was more than welcome the night before to help me make sure Alexa and Morgan get their package when they checked-in the next morning.
Later that week I met up with my family for a day at Disneys Animal Kingdom on November 17th. This was my first time going to this theme park in all the visits (at least 30 times) I have made to the Walt Disney World Resort. There were four cast members I wish to recognize from Disneys Animal Kingdom:
Lorraine (Character Helper for Flik) This was my second time meeting her. I originally met her at the Magic Kingdom near the castle where she was helping out Mickey Mouse after the Cinderellas Surprise Celebration on March 9, 2004. Both times she had the same great enthusiasm with the children, as well as the adults in line! I hope to meet up with her again one of my next visits!
Josh (Tour Guide on Kilimanjaro Safaris) He was a great tour guide. He made the first time experience easy to remember!
Scott (Server at Rainforest Cafe) He made our lunch that afternoon very fun. He had no problem answering our questions.
Michael (Cast Member on Maharajah Jungle Trek) He was by far was one of the nicest cast members I have met in Walt Disney World! He started a great conversation with everyone in our group. He made sure everyone was having fun while walking through the Jungle Trek. Something as simple as the fake sparkler we got with our dessert from lunch at the Rainforest Café was reason enough to start a party! I even got to talk to him about how much I want to be a kindergarten teacher; turns out he was a teacher before he worked at Walt Disney World! He even showed us his grandchildrens pictures from his wallet. To make it even better I gave him a business card size thank you note that I keep with me just in case I find a great cast member during a visit (Ill have one included in this letter)! Alexa and Morgan, as well as my aunt and uncle thought he was terrific!
During the same day I had a solo priority seating to 1900 Park Fare for Cinderellas Gala Feast. There were some great cast members and one not so great cast member, also at this location:
Pat (my server) She was not the greatest. It took her 10 minutes before I even got a drink ordered. I understand it was a busy night but the other table next to me had a great server, Linda. Pat did manage to keep my table clean after every other plate. She did apologize a couple times, but never kept up the speed part of the service.
Linda (Waitress) She was more than welcome to help out with character pictures, even once while carrying a full size birthday cake! She made my experience greatly more enjoyable! She got a thank you note as well!
David (Bus Boy) He helped out at least twice with character pictures.
Dominic (Restaurant Manager for the Grand Floridian) He made the end of night great with a terrific picture of me with Prince Charming, Perla and Suzy! I gave him a thank you note; in return he gave me his business card! Later that week a sent him a personalized thank you card!
Finally, my latest visit was on February 2, 2005. I was in need of something Disney World oriented, so I made a priority seating at Cape May Café at the Beach Club Resort. The character interaction and food was terrific! I ended up meeting with some friends I met through a Disney fan website, www.disboards.com.
Teresa (Server at Cape May Cafe) She was great! She made sure everything was good, kept my table clear, and my orange juice cup was always full! She was even more than happy to let me stay seated while I waited for all the characters to come by! She got a great tip, too!
Nancy (Character Helper at Cape May Cafe) When she realized I was dining solo she made sure I got plenty of pictures with all the characters! She very happy to know that I loved all the attention I was getting from the characters!
Marti (Cast Member at Character Premiere at Premiere Outlets) She was great! She enjoyed knowing that I come all the way over from Tampa Bay to go to the Walt Disney World Resort. She even gave me some great tips on getting a job for Disney (believe me Ive tried almost all of them!). Marti loved the idea that I went solo to a character meal!
Pam (Server at Beaches N Cream) She was a great server! She made sure everyone was doing great with their meal. Pam also made a great dessert suggestion for my friends I met up with here.
My next visit is not until May 5th of this year. I cannot wait to see was Cinderella Castle looks like for the beginning of Disneylands 50th Anniversary at the Walt Disney World Resort! Thank you again for letting me write to you about the great service I received on my last three visits to the Walt Disney World Resort!
