My family just returned from a magical week at DW and I really needed to thank this group for helping to make it great. Someone once said that "Luck is the crossroads of preparation and opportunity". Well....I was prepared for this trip....a bit of Disney magic "made the dreams come true....

Here are a few of the highlights...the smiley wizards :wizard: show all the tips I utilized off this board!!!

Wednesday 9/28- We had a Fantasmic Dinner package at Mamma Melrose. :wizard: Show got cancelled due to weather, but we were off to a great start.

Thursday 9/29 - We had breakfast at CRT at 8:20 am. :wizard: Finished breakfast to come down the castle steps to the ropes being ready to be dropped. I spied Tinkerbells Treasures :wizard: and thought that my luck couldnt be this good. I hadnt even mentioned it to DD because I wanted NO PARTS of racing to a gift shop at park opening...but...here we were. I quickly filled in my wife and we walked in to TT with my daughter behind another little girl. The cast member tells the girls that they have to find the box. The first girl misses the box, but my daughter sees it. The CM goes to hand my daugter the wand, but my wife suggests they do it together. CM agrees. Both girls left happy. No ugly scenes. There were a few disappointed girls in the store which made me a bit sad.

We leave MK a bit early for a swim and return to MGM to see Fantasmic. We were supposed to see Wishes, but since we had seen it before we sacrificed it for Fantasmic.

Friday 9/30 - We all slept in since tonight was MNSSHP. :wizard: A couple hours at the pool, a quick trip to DTD for lunch at Earl of Sandwich. :wizard: We got dressed and headed to MK for MNSSHP :wizard:. We had a blast. We had dinner at LTT :wizard: and rode the Haunted Mansion first. We got our free pics taken and DD got her face painted. (Lines are a lot shorter later in the evening). We head to the castle to find a spot for the fireworks when I spy a CM chatting with my mother in law. The CM motions me to come over and huddles with with family and quietly asks us if we'd like to be in the parade!!!! My DD was so excited she was crying. Details of this are discussed in another post. The place seemed crowded but ride lines were very manageable. We walked on Space Mountain three times in a row at 11:00 pm. On BTMR, the CM's let us re-ride if there wasnt anyone in the queue line. (3 times in a row)

Saturday 10/1 - Epcot - First day of Food and Wine and place was pretty crowded. Mission Space lines were uncharacteristically VERY short....10 minute stand by compared to Test Track at 70 minutes. Only thing to note here was the number of obnoxious intoxicated college kids. There were a couple times I really had to bite my tongue. Princess Aurora took a bit of abuse but seemed to handle it ok. We have a great dinner at Cape May Cafe :wizard: and finish in time for Illuminations.

Sunday 10/2 - Animal Kingdom - We did the usual stuff here Safari etc. Took the family on Dinosaur! They were a bit surprised...hehe. Left early to get to HDDR. This was the first time I had done this and HAD A BLAST. The food was good. The entertainment was terrific. Pure Disney FUN.

Monday 10/3 - Return to MK - The light crowds of the previous week were replaced with a fairly sizable crowd. Fast Pass was the name of the game, but since we had gotten on so many rides on Thursday and Friday, we took our time and picked a few key rides, shopped, and enjoyed the day. We did Hall of the Presidents...something I probably would not have done. Very inspiring.

Off to Dinner at Ohana :wizard:

Getting late and I need a bit of rest....I'll finish the post tomorrow.
