Sorry it has taken me so long to report on my trip. I am still trying to recover from being down in WDW for over two weeks.
We flew out early because of an impending snow storm and wound up getting snowed out in Florida for 4 extra days - a dream come true for me.
Our trip was so magical. On Sunday we went to the Magic Kingdom and enjoyed a great day of walking Main Street and listening to the Dapper Dans. I love those guys.
At 1 PM we went to visit Scoop and there was a huge crowd for his pin talk. I was thrilled to receive a Scoop Sanderson pin. It is one of the nicest pins I have seen and I am so proud to have one. Thank You Scoop.
We joined Ed and Donna, and June and Bob, and Heather and Jim and Michelle - but not Manny - for lunch. That was fun - a preview of what the November cruise will bring - Michelle said my husband fit right in - gee I wonder what that means. It is fun meeting up with everyone and getting to meet Michelle.
Monday was our 30th Wedding anniversary. We went to City Hall to make lunch reservations at Cindy's castle. I had a birthday button from the MK and redid it to say that "Today is my Anniversary". When the Guest Relations Guy saw it, he gave us a card to take to the hat shop. We were given Bride and Groom Hats to help celebrate our special day. Thanks Brick, that was so kind of you. We had a magical lunch at the Castle with Lord David and some of my favorite people. We had a great time.
On Monday night we did the Fireworks Excursion at Epcot. I was honored with Ed, Tammy and Kristin joining me - we had our own entertainment - Al the Magician - he had the whole International Bridge joining in on the fun. It was a Magical Night.
There were so many highlights - I can't mention them all - We were the Flag Family at Wilderness Lodge - we had VIP seating at the Spectromagic Parade. And the best thing of all is that we got to spend some time with all my wonderful friends in Disney World. It was fun seeing Peggie and being a little part of her getting her Scoop pin.
On Tuesday Morning we went to the Yacht club to meet with my friend Diane and have breakfast. When we were waiting for our car to return to the Wilderness Lodge a very nice gentlemen started talking to us, Captain Bob. He ask how long we had been married and said we were there celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. He ask us to please stand there and wait for him - we did, and when he returned he gifted us with the Anniversary Pin from the Yacht club. I was so excited and it is a beautiful pin - and a beautiful memory.
I had such a great time - and got to extend the trip by 4 days because of the snow.
On the down side, my husband was suppose to start a brand new job on Tuesday - so he was not happy that we could not get home. His new boss was great and told him to not worry and that he would see him on Monday.
So now I am sitting and wondering when we can go to get a little Magic next. I am sure it will have to be when it is a bit warmer - I am sure my husband would not want to risk getting stuck in
WDW again.
The Concierge team at Wilderness Lodge was the best - it is going to be hard to go back to the All Stars - lol.
I am sure I forgot some things - just wanted to say it was the greatest trip ever.
