Thanks! Sci-Fi drive -in

DS was tired and cranky in MGM over the weekend. We all badly needed a drink because it was HOT! I remembered many of you saying you could go to Sci-Fi for a milkshake. We were right around the corner - walked right in and had the most delicious milkshakes and sodas. Nice and cool - great atmosphere - what a great idea - and I have all of you to thank!

I still say Sci-Fi has the BEST Milkshakes in the WDW Resort. Followed closely by Beaches & Cream at the Beach Club.

Did you think the shakes tasted "made to order" with real milk and ice cream or were they like the kind that comes out of a machine (McDonald's)?

Was Sci-Fi busy when you dined there? I would really like to go there just for Shakes, fries and dessert but would feel a little funny if it was busy and I was'nt getting a meal. Did the CM's seem like they were aggravated.

My family and I really enjoy lunch or dinner at Sci-Fi and any way to go back for a visit on our trip would be ok with me

We would love to go in for shakes, but it always seemed so busy. I never thought about doing that. It would be fun. Maybe we will do dinner there, I don't want to make a PS because we aren't sure when we want to eat dinner. I prefer to just go with the flow when we are in the parks (I am making PS's for character meals though).

We had the burgers and they were some of the best burgers we've ever eaten.

You can't beat the burgers and shakes at Sci Fi Dinner. Not keen on anything else on the menu but you can't go wrong with the b and s.

I thought they tasted fresh - DS had cookies and cream flavor and it had hunks of cookies in it. DH and I had creamsicle floats and they were certainly fresh.

It was so not busy at 3 pm that I think the cast member was just happy to have a car to serve. I was pretty explicit when I was asking to be seated that I only wanted shakes. I did tip well for a shake!

DS even got his driver's license to drive during the show. What a welcome break!
