We just got back from our wonderful week in DisneyWorld and went to the pin trading meets at both the Contemporary and the Polynesian. My ten year old son accompanied me to both, and my seven year old daughter showed up near the end.
I wanted to thank those of you who were so very kind to my son. You encouraged him, took time to listen to his questions, and Raul and Daber even gave him some pins for trading. I was really amazed at how courteous and generous some of you were. I know I missed someone's name up in my title thread, but we enjoyed meeting you all and had a spectacular time. I predict we will be visiting Disney a lot sooner than originally anticipated, and I'm already bumming out about the fact that there are no meets like that up here in CT (except there is a monthly meeting of some sort that I have to find out more about!)
I got some beautiful pins, and my son completed his dwarf mine car set with Snow White as the leader (there isn't a caboose to that set that we don't know about, is there?). And a special thanks to Linda (LJC) who got us started on this whole journey by selling us some really great pins at an inexpensive price.
My last purchase while down there was the pin trader small backpack, and it is already full!!
Thanks so much again. Words cannot express how wonderful and welcome you all made us feel. We look forward to doing it again someday!!
Sharon
P.S. Yes, I did get the St. Patrick's Day Mickey pin!
P.P.S. Katherine, thank you for the Pinpics pin, which will grace the outside of our pin bag forever!
P.P.P.S. Audrey, thanks for giving David another one of the limo pins that he traded to the visitors from Tokyo!
