This group is probably one of the least biased spots to find DVC information in an online group, and I have found it immensely helpful on my purchase journey. While you do have some rules about resale companies you can discuss, the moderation and rules here are far and away a huge improvement from the DVC and WDW facebook groups available (mostly sponsored by tour groups or specific DVC resale companies). I am floored by how little open discussion is allowed in those; you bring up aggregator sites or talking to a Guide about direct purchase or useful DVC resource, and the posts immediately get deleted and you may even get a warning. Then they paper over with a post promoting the “group sponsor” only.

Thanks for at least keeping a bit of the spirit of the 90s internet alive and well here! We are all able to become more educated on this potentially very expensive product because of this shared information.

Agreed! If it wasn't for these boards I wouldn't have know that I could ask the realtor to compare the costs of multiple title agencies for my DVC resale purchase. Saved me $400.

I agree, love these boards.

If it weren't for these boards I would not own DVC. The FB groups didnt give me the real info I needed to make an educated decision. Here you get the good, the bad and the ugly.

I found out about this board thru doing some casual DVC research on Reddit, which has been helpful, but nowhere near as much valuable information from what I've learned here. Definitely appreciate the community here, and looking forward to spend a lot more time here to learn more about all the resorts and parks.

Live in California so been to Disneyland and CDA plenty of times. Been to WDW only once when I was a kid, and just came back from Aulani last week. Hoping to become an Aulani DVC member soon. Planning on taking our lil one to WDW next year as he and my wife have never been, and it will feel new to me as well since it's been ages since I was last there.
